REVELON!!!
I knw ppl r always surprised to hear abot Revelon foundation but it has worked wonders for everyone i hv recomended it too, trust me its really good aas i am a makeup artist my self i do brides and it works really well and on all skin types .Do try it.and leme know;)
as much as i LOOOOVEEEE sephora and buying all my stuff there, i hate the sephora branded products. i bought a makeup remover from them once which was terrible to say the least and then i tried a few more things but nothing ever worked out for me. i am trying smashbox from there, it seems okay.. nothing good though. and yeah, you're right- laura mercier is suited more for older skin.. i use their face masks and those have worked for me well but i dont like their makeup range.
laura mercier dries out really fast... i always had to pat it with a wet paper towel to make it blend in well.. i dont recomment it.. i think its for older skin... 40's or something... just doesnt feel right... for parties.. i use sephora brand... its only $20 .. which is cheap compared to other brands.. but i really like it.. blends so well.. and there colors match skin ver well also... i recommend it...
anddddddd if u get lucky and find it on sale.. u can get it very cheap.. my friend got it for $6 once..
thanks- what kind of revlon foundation though? there is so much variety.

really?? we still have those available here in my state :S
revlon skinlights was really gud but its been discontinued...it gave skin an airbrush effect (made it flawless) and a natural glow...it didn't seem like ur wearing makeup at all but the coverage was still there..now i'm looking for a similar product but there's like so much stuff ...i really dunno wear to start from
sorry if i don't remember but Have you tried Bare Escentuals? It's really good!
I also like clinique's concealor but it dries really quickly on me so i have to be really quick about it...
The secret to any foundation is applying a primer to u're face under the foundation. From what shay describes, it seems that her foundations maybe slightly lighter. MAC caters to model, theater and heavy coverage makeup that's ideal under excessive lights. Bobbi Brown foundation stick is PERFECT cuz it has yellow under-tones and glides-on smoothly. Follow that with a loose powder =)
^^I agree Bobby Brown Foundation is very natural and I can hardly tell when my cousin has it on as she uses all Bobby brown products...they are suitable for everyday wear..
By the way, does anyone know why they say to add some water to your foundation before applying it to your skin?
hey sanam (someone here who can help i thnk?i hv very dry skin n medium fair tone n i dont wanna to b a tanish lady,,i want healthy gud skin tone, which brand is suitable on my skin??
Horizon, prep u're skin with a gud moisturizer and primer then follow with a sheer foundation (if u have clear skin) and blend with a damp sponge very well =) I know im not sanam..sorry!
for winter dry skin try Shisieido the makeup cream foundation (dont know what your shade is) or Trucco skintone natural foundation (shade 4 is for olive skin tones
the best way is to go to a makeup counter and get matched and then if u can get samples for that shade plus two other shades (one lighter one darker). try them on at home to see if they work for u since sometimes department store lighting can be decieving. if u're evening out the skintone then u should be putting the foundation only on the areas that need to be evened (which is why u shouldnt go for a light shade since the uneven area will tend to look grey if the shade is too light). the key to not accentuate the dry spots is a good moisturizer though. if ur skin is balanced then the makeup will look good too. its the same problem with me in the winters...i get really dry skin and if i use any makeup it tends to flake grrrrrrr. thats why i just moisturize and use a concealer on regular days.
well i hvnt read all the replies here so sorry in advance if im repeating any point again.....
most ppl r not aware with this fact and try to solve their problem by spending more and more money on some expensive stuff ....some time ago i was facing the same problem ..i culdnt use any foundation it sucked on my face..
however wht i did than was jst so cheap and it turned out really good...i will advise everyone to do it...or atleast try it for a few days
aaply some baby oil...grapes oil or anyother oil with a normal cotton pad on ur face and message it properly for jst 2- 3mins and then apply foundation ... ur skin will glow and go wow...trust me!!!
also never use jst one single colour or tone of foundation...always mix a slighty darker one than ur skin wid a lighter one or one mtching wid ur skin!!
I use Photogenic Ultra Confort from Lancome. I must say that it is the BEST! Well, it work perfect for me. It gives your face a nice, varm glow because it is light reflecting. Hence, it looks natural and yet covers up.
If your foundation does not blend perhaps it is because of your skin. When buying a foundation you should buy after your skin type. Furthermore remember to exfoliate frequently with a gentle peel because it takes away the dead skin cells and other debris from your skin. You will feel and see the difference when applying foundation. Plus, as some have already mentioned before it is a good idea to put a primer on before foundation and a moisturerizer ( not too greasy but a more light texture) . I can recommend the Smashbox Photofinish foundation primer.
because mouse cant come out of a bottle or u cant spray them..they r like creams....the pot wnt go messy...if u got ur own one and dnt share with anybody else...gud luck xxx
