Just a little curious after watching a documentary on Pakistan’s socio-political situation. I saw a group of youngsters (early 20s) mixed, smoking, dancing..on the beach and praising Musharraf and slandering “mullahs” (whatever that means).
So, does GS represent Pakistan? I am sure majority of us are educated or are pursuing one. What would you define yourself as (ie: middle class, elite class..etc)???

Yes, men and women can stand together. Its okay. We should be united, not shoving women at home, where you think they belong.
Smoking ? Your own religious clerics deem it to be permissable. Smoking is not "haraam", although I think it needs to be more condemned than the hookah smoking maulvis you follow think it should be.
dancing - as long as its not for prostitution, who the heck are you to complain about it?
Beach = God made it. It can't be haraam. Or is that also now on your haraam list?

I am afraid GS doesn’t represent real Pakistan . But for sure it does represent that 5 to 10 % segment of educated and open minded people , who are willing to create a better image of our nation .

and what i saw in the video definately doesn't represent pakistan... which decent pakistan father/ mother would let their daughters alone at nigt with a bunch of guys and plenty of alcohol??? astaghfirullah!

even the quran talks about how disliked israaf is in Islam! and health is a blessing, we have NO right to take it for granted by ruining it! and a lot of ulema have given the fatwa that smoking is haram.

Sorry but you don't live up to the "open minded" status. You assumed many things about me which are not true. I think you need to take out your personal issues outside then you can call yourself a true open minded person.

3- Dancing is not an Islamic practice, that's all. I do have a problem with it. Pakistan is my country too. I don't want it to fall in the hands of some hypocrites.

Dancing is a Pakistani practice, and that's culture. You can't take away culture and expect everyone to live like you. That's your problem. You expect peopleto live like you. In fact, we respect extreme beliefs so much that we've let a bunch of Extremists build their factories of hate on our borders and allowed them to take over our villages, and render a number of human rights abuses that put BB and NS to shame.
No, you guys associate the beach with all evil. I rarely see conservative muslims taking a picnic out at the Beach in the States, or in other areas of the world. The beach is automatically associated with nudity, because again, you people fail to keep an open mind and you fail to respect the rights of others to not follow Islam as rigidly as you might (or make yourself appear to follow - you never know these days).
