have you ever dobbed on a neighbour? for what reason?
in the area where we have recently built.. we have two types of people.. those that have built their own homes.. and those that are renting… completely different breed i must say..
we’re having issues with a lot of the ones that are renting… so have made complaints repeatedly abuot one of them.. (well they’re a family).. never in my 23 years of benig here have we had to dob on a neighbour… i guess it had to be done though… theres only so much loud pathetic music i can listen to in a week
bah, i know the feeling, I have some neighbour whose kids and their pals have been tearing up my yard, we told them in the summer to play in their own yards, in the last 3 weeks they have been here three times, firsttime we saw them and called the cops and these guys bailed all of a sudden, second time we were out of town but we saw tons of footprints in snow and third time was today, and lo and behold we called the cops and the kids disappear, i wonder if they get tips on this.
I am thinking to setting up some bear traps in the backyard
sadly the stupid law is that if these asswipes trespass but get hurt on my yard cuz they are horsing around. I am liable, I am annoyed because their own backyard has to be a decent size, and the lack of respect for people's private property.
There is a huge private park just 2 minutes walk from my place yet they choose to mess up my property. Next time I see them, I am either holding them until cops show up or follow them to their homes and complain to their parents.
Pir Sahab, just put a plastic dummy camera out in your backyard and then tell them you have got them on video tape and that you would give the surveilence tape to the cops if you see them there even once more and yeah talk to their parents and threaten them the same way :k:

I used to live alone and there was a lunatic in my apt. complex, always standin outside his door smoking or checking everyone out, I kept ignoring until he showed up at my door asking for nine dollars.. I had no choice but complain to the manager- turned out I wasn’t alone in complaining and they had already given him the notice to evacuate!
kaun, i talked to the idiot cop today, who first showed up almost 30 minutes after we called, I mean this place is a quiet burb, he is not fighting the yakuza and mob here, then he goes to the wrong house..I guess readin writin and math were not a strength in school and he is like well they are not damaging your property are they..
regardless, I have video from summer and it alone cant be used, according to the cop he has to see them here himself. which means next time they are here i make a video, get out and keep them here until cops get here and if not then follow them to their homes and tell their parents and show them the footage..
once they have been seen by cops they can be prosecuted for trespassing.
New neighbors moved upstairs about 2 mths ago.Its a middle aged woman and her mom,and I have come to the conclusion that they are hard of hearing because they literally yell,rather than talk like normal people.
She wakes up around 9 am and goes to bed at 10 pm...her TV is louder than herself and the phone ringer is so loud that in the first few days I thought it was my phone ringing.
Almost every night at 9 pm they get a phone call from somewhere and they put it on speaker phone and then they all talk and laugh for an hour...its like maniacs having a party....
I am literally fed up in these 2 months and I wonder why no one else in the unit has complained about them yet...
One of these days I am just gonna lose it....:(
I also saw her throw crumpled paper or tissues or whatever in the neighbor's front lawn.... just another thing that has made the new neighbors super annoying....grrrr...
She is away somewhere on weekends and those are a blessing...!!!!
nahi pir sahab involving cops would not do any good, what i am saying is to threaten those kids and their parents saying you got a video of them and that you are going to hand it over to cops. See if that works, police in these matters dont care enough.

Over here, each council has their own rules on noise and what kind of noise... also they have different rules for different days of the week..
X2, that sounds like spoilt kids messing around and trying to see how far they can get... i would definately call the cops.
Not too long ago, in our rental property, we had a 14-15 yr old boy driving illegally and smashing into out side fence.. he was so damn lucky there were no kids on the footpath nor was Heba playing in the backyard... just a few days ago, a 6 yr old boy died in similar circumstances
khair, our new street is full of more bozos... man.. we have one lady who sits on her driveway.. yes the driveway.. all day long smoking and drinking. Mind you she has kids of her own.. what kind of an example is that setting? the ones we've called the cops on (or reported on 3 times and now the official complaint to the council) they have made their garage and gambling adda... to top it off they have put their country's flag up inside for everyone to see what kind lunatics come from their home country... brilliant... these people also have very young kids who are running around bare foot all the time... and... not to mention all the elders are walking around with beer bottles and alcohol on the street.. and this is all aside from the music they play till 2-3am
kaun- i am actually going to be setting my video camera in one of the windows while I am away, to have these ppl on camera. but then I need to figure out who they are, they are not from my street, what they are doing is crossing through their back yards, crossing through backyards of the houses that their backyards touch with, crossing by the houses, thorugh their front yards, crossing the street and into my yard.. I have a nice yard, one of the reason I chose the lot that I chose, its large, flat and has a lot of open area since the trees and bushes are on the sides but not in the middle. so i suppose it is inviting for their games but wth. so i need to figure out where they live, last time we had asked them names and all they gave us wrong names and addresses, I tracked on of the punks but his family moved so now I have to figure out where the rest of these guys are coming from, I think I know, but have to prove it to talk to their parents
yeah have neighbor who complains and keeps to themselves. Its a blessing if they actually say “hi” or wave once in a while.
At one point, my parents were thinking of renovating the house, all drafts were sent to the town for variance approval, and they had issues, they came to measure the square footage in the backyard after we already had consulted with them many times on the matter. …Its not only us, others neighbors have said similar things.
We complained about an Arab woman who lived in the appt. building just behind ours. Every night after 11 pm she used to shout on her phone really really loud in her balcony for like 2-3 hrs..we ignored it as much as we could but there are limits. Turned out we were not the only ones to complain...however, there wasn't much that could be done against her..she yelled at the poor receptionist of our building too and pretty much at everyone who complained.
Exactly, khair i wish you good luck and hope you succeed in this, btw dont you have a fence around your backyard? cuz that can be a deterrent for them. Jootay maarney chahiye in sab kaminon ko :danda:
good idea, fences are always a good marker plus other neighbours might notice trespassers and might help out as well, lekin to be honest stick with the camera idea i am sure you will have some success :k:
