we have to have fences here.. thank goodness...
why does whereever you live require fencing, i mean here in toronto we live in a new development but its a choice if you want a fence or not.

Re: dobbing on neighbours
most councils require their residents to get fencing done to avoid property disputes.. it makes life simple
in the area we've just built in, the estate has provided free fencing... so why not? :)
Re: dobbing on neighbours
lucky ppl, humein to khud hee karaaan parega :sad2:
P.S issi liye i dont like living in house, i always wanted to have my own Apartment in downtown,
Re: dobbing on neighbours
over here, if u have to do ur own fencing, if the side ur putting the fence on has someone already living there, then they have to share the cost of the fence with u
so basically if u have houses on left and right side and the back... u put up a fence on three sides and divide the cost... simple
Re: dobbing on neighbours
yeah thats what we are planning to do this summer, they are waiting for the houses to settle down as the houses are just over a year old. I still think apartments are a better bet :k:
Re: dobbing on neighbours

X2.
It's called a fence. Build one.
If you can't. Pay someone to build one.
Re: dobbing on neighbours
X2, we fenced our yard and it really looks pretty nice. We got a black-colored chain link fence. The black color makes it look almost like its not there and it doesnt block the view out. For areas that we want privacy, we planted some vines which are growing really nicely.
If you do fence the yard (heck even if you dont), you could also put up some "Beware of Dog" signs. Maybe even a very large dog dish with a name like "Brutus" painted on the side.
And....if these things fail, you can electrify the fence!!
Re: dobbing on neighbours
Ive "dobbed" on my neighbor a few times when I was living in an old house. The reason I did is because the people had teenage children that were absolutely out of control! They were in a band and played at all odd hours of the night and day in their garage, they were disrespectful and I think - not sure - they also keyed on of our cars.
I asked their parents to see if they can get them to at least keep it low...but their parents refused blatantly saying kids will be kids, deal with it. So, I called the cops repeatedly until someone spoke to them about it.

I will probably do that, however it is ridiculous that I 'have' to do it to prevent something that should not be going on.
The issue is that when they have been told and they continue to do it, what is stopping them from jumping over a fence? hell i used to jump over my parents house's fence to get out late night or get back in late night all the time, its really not that hard.
The fence 'may' solve it, and it may not. I dont know, but I will not know until i put it up, and that will have to wait until april.
Re: dobbing on neighbours
Install an electric fence for intrusion prevention . It will not block your view and will stop the intuders in their tracks.
