My friend didn't get to pick any of her outfits and on her walima, she found out her MIL had the same outfit! i would be sooo pissed not cuz of the clothes, but just bcuz of how inconsiderate that action is. She has 2 kids now and she still feels bad when she remembers her wedding..
As for myself, no MIL..yet :)
OMG!!! The MIL had the same dress?!?!?! That is just effed up! wow... I'm speechless...
MILs tend to do this because they didnt get to choose their outfits either, its a cycle.
lol... that could be one of the things but trust me, if you get a crazy MIL, there are plenty other issues in her head besides no being able to choose a dress! lol
hopefully, my MIL-to-be is gonna be cool.. she's ok so far!:p
Ziggy, i'm getting one dress made by Faiza Samee (she has gorgeous colors) and definately next time is Aeisha Varsey. I've gotten a great beige lace outfit from Rizwan Beyg.
I need to experiment with colors, worn too much of black, blue and pinks!
Gina, the whole wardrobe sounds excuisite...the colours in some of Faiza Samee's outfits are truly gorgeous, but I 've got to say that I was little dissapointed with Aeisha Varsey this time round. She's kind of lost her touch a little...the bridal wear designs were more or less the same but in different hues to what I had seen a few years back. I really had high expectations when I went ot see her recently, but came away with a deja-vu feeling...
The beige lace outfit from Rizwan Beyg sounds really intriguing...I couldn't seem to get an appointment with him because he had apparently gone to Dubai. He was one person I really I wanted to meet :(
Don't forget some mother-in-law do have good taste too (won't imagine) some would pick such lovely design that even the brides some time don't do, as I've seen some wedding dress of a friend that the in-laws picked (I guess those mother-in-law are very stylish themselves what say??//) of course most brides would want to get their own dress for both wedding/valima day but not harm getting an opinion from others too.
The MIL had the same wedding dress?? thats kinda weird..
well my valima lengha was nice..but all the barri clothes were exactly the same style as hers…i only noticed months after when i saw her wearing them and they looked odddly familiar
this reminds of me when i was about 8, my mom had a matching outfit made for my younger cousin out of the left-over fabric of one of my clothes (for my phoppo's wedding). man, was i ever mad! hahaha
i guess i might think its sweet, but watch out, mommy, if you try and match me! :p
hahahahahahah! i hear you on that one! i would have been so mad too. this is also like the time my mom made me ask my mumani why her newborn daughter's name didn't end in "een", like mine and my cousins. to this day she (my mumani) reminds me of it and i'm just itching to tell her i really didn't care, it was all my mom! rolleyes
annoying!

YP, i did pick my own clothes, but my MIL is gori so she'd have had no idea what to get me! haha
i really did want to wear a white dress too but ran out of occasions :p
