Who cares about the junk like lingerie stuff at first night or any night? 
Women already wear too much expensive/lavish clothes that night.
And other nights, simple clothings should do fine. Take shower, brush teeth. That’s all. I mean ‘bare minimum’ requirement. (Pun intended :D)
These kind of ‘chonchlay’ are for those who care less for the woman than the clothes she wears at night.

another girl had asked a similar type of question in another subforum and i just wanted the desi male perspective on this. didn't understand the bold part.
on a couple occasions even in this forum, life1, i've seen guys put down a girl that might have a high sex drive or isn't one that is disinterested in it, they did see her as slutty or not marriage material so i'm just thinking if a girl came on too strong on her wedding night, would those guys see their wife as a slut and tell it to her face.

That's fair but like someone said, wouldn't a virgin bride be nervous about her first time? Granted the lingerie and stuff is just foreplay and can be relaxing but I can't exactly picture a virgin bride seducing a man like a pro. exactly who is ultra conservative here i don't know and i'm pretty sure you don't either. this topic about virginity, purity, impurity has been discussed hundreds of times here, it's not something new in life1. being a virgin doesn't mean a person is clueless about these issues, info is all over the place and a bride to be should be educated in it(i'm talking contraception and everything concerning this issue)

And NIsha, would you go to victoria’s secret on wedding night? It is not even possible here in the west where weddings don’t run in tents until 3 in the morning but wouldn’t you be tired? This is weird AND stupid in the same breath.
Sex is not discussed openly in South Asia, so of course there will be surprises if a girl knew a lot. The western desis would not mind it as they have grown in a sexualized culture where women have on less than their brides normally would on wedding night. A high sex drive would be annoying in not just desi marriages, but in all marriages for both sides.
