does it matter if the guy is conservative or liberal or would it be ok to go by whatever the girl prefers? like going right to the victoria secret lingerie on the wedding night wouldn’t cause him to disrespect her if he’s ultraconservative?
or is it dependent on whether it was love or arranged marriage where the two might not know each other really well yet?

A muslim husband, no matter how conservative, also understands that a wife can bare it all infront of her husband and they can do whatever the hell they want behind closed doors.
In fact, husband and wife are each other's "libaas" in Islam. The man has to be twisted for him to be offended seeing his wife wearing lingerie.
