is anyone here a second wife or sharing her husband cuz he’s married multiple or twice ??? i knw its allowed in islam but i just wanted to knw how it felttt

i knw a woman hus hubbys married twice.. he has 4 kidz with the pakistani wife.. n den he gt married again 2 a english lady.. bt she's also converted nw... he has 4 kidz with her aswell. n he keeps them both equal.. n both wives r kind of it okay with it
i also knw anutha lady hu's hubby gt married twice.. bt she allowed him 2 get married da 2nd tym.. no1 else knew tho.. we all jst found out recently.. the 1st wife duznt seem affected at all..
i think she's gt used to it afta tym

I met a guy while I was away on my travels and he had two wives and they both get on well with each other. Also I used to work with one guy from Lahore and his dad had about 3 wifes and was an industrialist in his days and they seemed happy with each other.
I guess it just depends on the women, their personality and how they view the situation.

That must be a terrible situation. I mean I think ALL the time I would just be thinking of him n' her in bed... like 24/7 ! I would think that that's all there is to this type of marriage ...

Why is it all of a sudden so horrible when a muslim has multiple wives, which is allowed in their religion and that gives all the wives equal rights, and its so cool if a white man has more than four, which their religion doesn't allow...what a hypocrisy!!!**

uh what. i find it more disturbing to think of non-muslims having multiple partners at the same time or reducing sex to something so meaningless without emotion.
i hate this point used as an attempt to for justification. you've just made it all about sex too, haven't you?
other people can do whatever they like as long as they are happy in their situation. there is more than marriage to sex but most women could never be able to make peace thinking about their husband sharing that intimate connection with another woman/women. well, plenty of husbands feel that way too.

That's true, and I think much of this has to do with kind of culture we were raised in. Desi culture for the most part likes monogomous relationship- one wife -one husband, and so does most of the American culture. We're raised that way.
I hear Arab culture is a little different, and they're women are probably more aggreable to the situation, becuase they say their mother's adjust to it, grandmother's adjust, so they probably don't mind as much as a result.

Having sex with monkey may have initially transferred HIV to humans, but promoscuity DOES spread AIDs. If a man is HIV + and he has sex with 10 women, then he speread HIV to all of them. If a promiscuous woman with HIV has intercourse with many many partners thens she spreads the disease to those to all those partners, and if those partners are promiscuos then they spread them to many more partners.
having more than one wife is too common in pakistan espeically where i live!
my next door neighbour's wife lost her leg in an accident and her husband re-married. i heard she was very upset at first and tried to end her life. but because she had nowhere to run to she put up with her husbands decision. the 2nd wife has a daughter now. he has divided his home into 2 sections i.e. he got another kitchen made upstairs. the 1st wife lives upstairs with her kids and 2nd wife lives downstairs. they all seem really happy now and i always see both the wives taking daily walks after aftari and chit-chatting like friends.
two door's down an uncle lives with his two wives. his 1st wife couldn't give him children so he re-married and his 2nd wife gave him four kids. each wife has their own bedroom and the uncle has his own bedroom as well. they seem happy and the kids call one wife ammie and the other amma.
in the same area a close family friend, an uncle married his 1st cousin (from his mum's side) and they had a love marriage. but he was also in love with his 1st cousin (from his dad's side) in pakistan!!!! 1st wife didn't know this before. then uncle declared that he would marry his 1st cousin (from his dad's side) so she wouldnt have to be alone! this caused a lot of problems in the home. she had nowhere to go or live either. i used to feel so sorry for the 1st wife wondering what on earth was going through her mind! now they all live together. the wives act normal infront of us and guests etc but you can see there is no friendship between them at all. 1st told my mum that once they were watching a movie and the 2nd wife cuddled up to the husband, and she felt this and felt left out when he cuddled his 2nd wife back. 1st wife says 2nd wife is his fav' and she feels this all the time. the 2nd wife once teased the 1st wife that their husband is so obsessed with her bust and this made the 1st wife angry and upset as she was small busted. 1st wife wont leave though saying the day she leaves that home will be for her funeral!!
another uncle has 2 wives. his cousin became widow and 1st wife asked her husband to care for her and marry her! so he did. they all live happily and 1st wife even did the bridal make-up for the 2nd bride. lol.
without bringing islam into it think how would a husband feel if their wife was to marry again bringing in a 2nd husband? i am sure emotionally the 1st husband would find it hard to deal with.

Well, I have two guys in my family who have two wives. Unforunately, I see that the didn't do justice between them i.e. they cared more and gave much more time to the second wives than the first one. I didn't like it, but hey thats life. Interestingly though, some of the step-sisters/brothers get along well while others don't.
Technically, a muslim guy can marry up to 4 women, as it is allowed, but it comes with very stringent conditions which MUST be fulfilled i.e. absoluate equality between the wives which bye the way very few man can do.
