You really need to go and read the qualification of who can implement sharia law. You need to be a momin and role model for the ones you lead. In my definition, forget about momin, the guy is probably not even a proper Muslim.
Before authority, comes responsibility. Imam Bukhari refused to accept Hadees from a person who fooled a horse in pretending that he has food in his hand for the horse. Bukhari knew that Hadees might be true but he refused to take it from that person. That is the character you need to have someone words became part of shsriah.
Are you ok, with a society presenting gay life style as a normal option.
Like when your Chiltern growing up, they are 13-15 dont even know their bodies.
You want to them think “may be I am a same sex person …hmmmm”
forget the gay stoning part. this comes with some other goodies like hand chopping. what if your Chiltern grows up and gets their hands chopped coz they stole something?
Monk, it’s not society but nature that presents heterosexuality as a normal option. Who teaches animals to go their opposite gender counterpart for sex - society or nature?
your questionz assumes people become gay because they are told its ok. that is like the dark ages version of it. its the 21st century, monk pai. even jesus camps havent cured gay kids.
Again, hand chopping was a quick justice. It was a need back then. Such horrific punishments were not part of just Islamic culture. Churches in dark ages used to burn the culprits alive. We have a very refined law and order system now, so it’s better to follow that. There are nations that are moving away from capital punishment and we are still stuck with stone to death. Horrific I must say.
You live in a country where sexual intercourse between consenting adults is legal right? Do you participate in it just because it’s legal or are you promoting it by not advocating murder of people who do it? Are Muslims in your community teaching their kids to become gay or have sex when they are 13-15?
any shari’a law must not be applied on any non Muslim. it should only be applied on Muslims. it shouldn’t be like Muslim Personal Law in India where Muslims pick N choose. when it comes to 4 shaadiyaaN they gladly jump on shar’ia law and when it comes to chopping of hands they opt for Civil Law. while selective application seems fair to Muslims but is grossly unfair to the majority Hindus and other minorities.
now, if someone who confesses to be a Muslim, he/she has NO choice but to accept each and every Islamic injunction [according to their fiqh]. Islam does not allow you to pick N chose the laws or teachings. if you accept Islam then you don’t have any grey areas, no ifs and buts. Islam demands you to enter it’s folds completely and leaves no grey areas to hover on.
having said that, discussions and arguments about the punishment of stoning to death or chopping of hands does not make any sense. either you believe in Islam and accept ALL it’s teachings and injunctions or simply renounce it. you can NOT pretend to be a Muslim and then hurl arguments disputing Allah’s orders.
You’re comparing apples to oranges here. Just because a state or people aren’t killing or promoting violence towards adulters, fornicators and homosexuals doesn’t mean they are promoting them. As a society you can strongly condemn homosexuality by the moral upbringing of your kids without the need for the state to persecute people for having consensual relationships in the privacy of their bedrooms.
a terrible example. gays are not coming to your house and making out, are they? if they are, then you have every reason to be mad. but as long as they are doing whatever they want in their homes, then whats the problem?
yes, we donot OWN other people. your ownership is limited to yourself. you cannot dictate others and they cannot dictate you.
