I don't exactly remember, but it was under Rs 500.
Every salon does it and its nothing to be embarassed about! i know there are a couple on zamzma that do it but i dunno how hygeinic and clean they are. you should look. they have contact numbers of differnt salons and you can call and ask if they do it.
do you really think thats nothing to be embarassed of???do you really think its fine to open up your most private part infront of some other woman?? just for the sake of some pleasure and to remain hairfree for sometime?I THINK ITS HARAM IN ISLAM...NOW THIS IS EMBARASSING...
Re: Brazilian Wax in Karachi
im not conservative not backward but i think that women should not do EVERYTHING just to please themselves...men would never do this for women not even for themselves...n SAHAR02 i dont now wat are you trying to say...but one can judge the mentality of these girls who get it done for men...i mean you do it for men and you forget god...even your own self respect ...thats wat even most educated women dont have ''self respect'' n thts y we are behind in all wlks of life n then we blame men for it!!!
Re: Brazilian Wax in Karachi
^ummm... just for my info. where does it say that its forbidden in Islam?
What does self respect have to do with waxing?
And who do you think deliver babies? Do you think they tupkofy from the sky?

I'm saying that that's what lots of my cousins have been told by these salon ladies that have been in the business for a long time. These women made the brides feel backward and silly for not doing it. They acted as if it was the norm (and my sense is that because grooming is so much more affordable and available in Karachi than it is in the West and because there are more women of liesure it may well be the norm).
Now, I'm not one to be convinced to do anything just to please a man, but it is certainly acceptable to beautify and groom yourself in a way that is pleasing to you and your husband.
By the way, I don't feel comfortable getting this done by other people. Nor do I approve of the way in which most societies are structured to make women feel ashamed of what is natural to them or to feel that they need to change themselves in order to be acceptable or beautiful. However, if someone else wants to do it, it's her choice.
I think you should relax about this. You're getting defensive when no one is attacking you, or your religion.
Re: Brazilian Wax in Karachi
My sweet sisters, daffodil is right. She's just trying to show you right from wrong. A women's sitr from a women is from the navel to the knees. In other words, women must cover these parts in front of other women. To reveal them without a just reason is haraam. now the topic in discussion is not a just reason to open up your sitr in front of other women. As far as delivery, then there is a just reason for it. Similarly, if someone had an illness in which they have to show these parts to some other woman for medical purposes, than that is also a just reason. Now no one is stopping you from grooming yourself. The point is do it yourself and stay within the limits that have been created not by us but our Allah.
:) so make sure do you look beautiful for your husband because pleasing your husband will please Allah, but don't disobey Allah to please your husband because Allah is Great.
Re: Brazilian Wax in Karachi
It is not haram. It is only haram to have it done by someone else.
Re: Brazilian Wax in Karachi
^yeah, that's why i said do it yourself. The thing that's haraam is to open your sitr in front of some other woman.
And who do you think deliver babies? Do you think they tupkofy from the sky?
good point...
From what I understand, removing/trimming hair in this area, as well as underarm hair, is obligatory at least once every 40 days for men and women. It is recommended to do so every week. The same goes for the trimming of nails.
So there are two issues here as far as the Islamic rulings:
1) such hair should be removed regularly
2) exposing one's awrah is sinful (a women's awrah is between her navel and her knees in front of other women; a man's awrah is also between his navel and his knees in front of men and women)
Re: Brazilian Wax in Karachi
But we Pakistanis still have men exposing themselves (peeing) in front of each other (and in public, in front of women) while women are told they are shameless cuz they do waxing.
Women don't tells their sons to stop peeing in public but they go around saying "hawwww" when they hear about brazilian waxing... hypocrites.

Ok, I think this discussion has gone far enough. The poster wanted info of salons that offered the service. Please do post if you know of any.
Re: Brazilian Wax in Karachi
So if you feel unclean without having a brazilian and you are simply unable to do it yourself......what do you do?
^Use a depilatory cream.
what if that irritates your skin?
^Use a depilatory cream.
Most strictly state that they are not recommended for use in the genital area.
Re: Brazilian Wax in Karachi
there is alternatives....shaving, waxing, epilators, plucking, creams, etc.
look into them, try them and do whatever works for you.
just because you cannot do a brazilian on yourself doesn't limit you from keeping it clean.
