Hey Hey I say ‘salwar kameez’.. I don’t want to say ‘shalwar’, whats so bad about that? :snooty:

..............thanks for yr compliment ( no no u're not the first indian who said that to me)

Re: Annoying thing about indians

waisay guys making fun of someone's pronounciation is not good , and i won't agree with most of the comments here , there r a lot of words which r similar in both original urdu and hindi , even in persian but they're pronounced differently in urdu and hindi, even the regional languages of pakistan and india has same words ( from urdu & hindi) but people in those regions have their own accents and thus they pronounce those words in their own way ............ u all must have heard native pathans and sindhis and punjabis pronouncing urdu words differently , but that's not something should be made fun of .................. and please don't mix the present day urdu & hindi ( the one spoken in indian movies) with the original version, it's way different and modified .

nothing about indians annoys me. in fact i like a lot of stuff in their culture that i dont like in our paksitani culture. i luv most things indian..lets luv our neighbours nd bring peace not more doorian in looking 4 things 2 b annoyed about.

some of the indians dress up soo bad,all those banarsi saries orange blue pink are bluhhchkkk

Hey ,wait a second...i'm an Indian and i say Shalwar Qameez...(its not kameez,sounds like a bad urdu though:p)..atleast we don't say bahiir to bahar and eid mubariik instead of mubarak, not intended to hurt anyone but just to make it a point, different city have diff accent..similarly India is a vast country...and it has quite a few different states..majority of them are Hindi speaking not Urdu speaking.

People coming from back home like India /Pakistan are going to have some accent because English is not their native language,similarly kids born and brought up over here in the west have traces of English accent in Urdu.So look at both the sides.

Ditto, i have heard many pakis ...saying---Keema(Qeema),Kainchi(Qainchi),Akal(Aqal) and the list is long.

This is exactly what my Indian friend says :rotfl:

I agree

Some of our ghaamar politicians such as Wasi Zafar and Sheeda Tulli **are shining examples of that

no north indian/pakistani pronounced my name perfectly, where are the americans ask me how to pronounce my name and then pronounce it properly

Re: Annoying thing about indians

They use too much haldi and zeera.

its not just the indians who put 'na' after every phrase, pakistani do the same...

annoy the heck out of me!

yep, u r absolutely right..and what's with unnecessary h's when writing roman urdu?

also very annoying!

wow! u actually talk about soemthing other than evil celebrity worshippers who r ogin 2 go straight 2 jahanam?

I think I did send you a PM last time. Let me know, if I had forgotten... :)**

What is the difference b/w Q and K? They both have the same sounds... I mean I can't differenciate b/w the sounds when I pronounce them.

same as we find in pronouncing arabic words... the thing is that these words have lost their pronunciation in colloquial urdu...

Kaaf and Qaaf are different...

Qalb = Heart

Kalb = Dog

just one example from arabic using the same set of words.....

Qaaf is pronunced from the depth of throat - in much thicker accent than Kaaf which is pronunced with the front of throat.

Do you normally laugh at yourself? What was so funny about what you wrote??
