There is a consistancy to the stories come out of the Muslims world. Take Pakistan. One example of jahaluth after another. From the Red mosque, to Salman Taseer and Bhatti, to the Handicapped illiterate teenager accused of blasphemy, to the response to the Youtube video, to Malala Yusufzai. The secular "fanatics" like me, are trying to get you people to realize that your mixing of religion with politics is lunacy and the entire society is becoming dysfunctional as a result...

On pakistan it is a secular country one has just to look at its constitution and laws to see its is fully secualr it has capitalism as its economic base complete disaster, its judicial laws are based majority on english law, education system and social system resemble nothing islamic at all.

yes it is disgusting but not for the criminals they was practicing their freedom in a nation which degrades the woman to trash making them nothing but sex objects you should not be surprised by these crimes.
Just take a small section of how women are viewed in general in the united states and you come to a conclusion they are not respected they are pushed to dress almost naked, made to sell every products in sexual manner, they are told they are too fat not wearing right clothes, not right in anything then you wonder why they in such a state of depression.
laughable thing is when certain western politicians accuse islam of not respecting the woman take a look in the mirror is all i can say because if you call what you do as respecting the woman then you need a reality check.

The secular elite are only secular in their personal lives, not in the way they run the country. They have failed Pakistan not because they were secular, but because they were NOT secular. Its the mixing of religions with politics that has destroyed the country. Its not to little Islam, its far to much. Pakistan comes in the middle because someone here is trying to draw a false equivalence. He said, Pakistan is always being criticized for one thing or another, but they (the evil west) dont look to themselves.
The point is simple. You see these types of stories come out of every country all the time. Things such as this happen around the world. These things dont garner much attention because they are rare and are by no means reflective of the majority. They are ignored by most reasonable people, but those picking at straws, those desperate and hateful like “rommel” will post them and add provocative titles like the one for this thread.
Pakistan should be criticized because unlike in the west, such things are no longer rare. There is consistency to these things, which shows there is something genuinely wrong with Pakistani society. You should accept criticism if its valid. Sometimes, criticism is appropriate and necessary.
Why do you shy away from criticism? You dont think its deserved.

When it comes to the US it is people will be people, and its in human nature to kill, rape and plunder? Lot of these convicted criminals are now joining the US army so they can kill, rape and plunder legally across the world.
A developed country means that people are generally better educated, better paid, have access to justice, the state has more resources and is better organised, therefore less crimes should be taking place. Its sad that people are justifying crime in the US by saying "Oh at least we aren't as bad as some third world country". But even this statement is debatable as living in the US you will feel safer compared to living in a third world country because there is a system in place, however the fact is there is more crime, so much so that we don't even bother to notice it around us until we pick up a copy of the local paper.

Those committed for petty crimes such as stealing and larceny are given a second look in which a review board determines whether they should be permitted to join the military.
This is yet another examples of Pakistanis trying to be experts on subjects in which they don't have a single iota of knowledge about.

I didn't make any generalizations about US. I just asked a simple question about the teenagers in US, given that they have complete sexual freedom why would they go and rape and humiliate a mother like that?

I think most people dislike American foreign policy which is seen as aggressive and hypocritical. It's not just people of the UK. It's all over the world. Stop the imperialist foregin policy and America won't get a hard time.
Note: I'm sure the average American is a nice person who just wants to live their lives in peace.

Its funny how some people are trying to say that America is hated because the rest of the world is jealous of it. They are caught up in their own hype. Many Americans live ignorant and arrogant lives, have never been out of their country and cannot even tell you where Bolivia is. They don't even know why they are hated.
