Funny how Mirpur is one of the richest and fastest growing cities in Pakistan. Oh and the huge amount of wealth in AJK.
People just love putting one above the other.
Trivial fact: The price of small pacel of land in Mirpur is worth more than the price of most houses in the US.
Also half of Islamabad is owned by Mirpuris.

I didn't know that. I mean I knew land was mega expensive. I believe the land my dad bought for me when I was born is worth about £200k. He paid about £10k 22 years ago. Lol.
I'm glad we have a lot of ancestral land. BUT I'd never sell it. We only buy.

There are also a few members in Parliament and mayors of cities that are from Mirpur e.g Lord Nazir Ahmed. Also a lot of councillors.

£200k is about $320,000. Land in Mirpuri city is worth more than villages.

I think most people dislike American foreign policy which is seen as aggressive and hypocritical. It's not just people of the UK. It's all over the world. Stop the imperialist foregin policy and America won't get a hard time.
Note: I'm sure the average American is a nice person who just wants to live their lives in peace.
You'd be aggressive too if people fly airplanes into your buildings and kill innocent people. Yes the US has retaliated by killing many innocent people too. But such is the ugliness of war. As far as hypocritical go, every nation looks out for its own self interest. I don't know why people expect the US to be a saint in that regard. They will do what is best for their country and their citizens. They don't owe anyone anything.

When Someone in Britain does something you guys start labelling them as mirpuris, low class, uneducated, backward, labourer etc. But if someone does something ten times more horrible in US and Canada? "Every society has evil". Pathetic.

Ok we start on a good point that you at least know that the world is not jealous of you. You also accepted that America kills innocents however you are mistaken the killings did not start after 911 but having been taking place well before that. The US has a history of killings, assassinations, interfering in the affairs of other states, supporting terrorism and despots around the world. Some may say that the attack on the WTC was a reaction in itself to American policies and killings.
Your ignorance and arrogance is affecting me because I care about my fellow human beings. I care about my planet. I care about the future of the world. I care about my country. All powerful countries will decline one day, either they can decline quietly or they can go out with a big bang. It seems that the US will go like UK and Germany before it with a big bang. Millions will die in the process. This time the war will not be limited to just Europe or Asia but will spread to the US soil itself. I therefore see the US as the greatest danger to world peace. Unlike you I am not selfish. I don't think that so long as I am doing fine at the expense of everyone else, the rest of the world can rot in hell ( although I am doing better than you). You know what they say...what goes around comes around.
As far as your progress and technology is concerned, if it were not for WW1 and WW2 Europe would still be ahead of the US. It is Europeans that built America. After WW2 many Nazi scientist were shipped out to the US. Germany and Britain had to repay debts to the US as well as Japan. As far as technological progress is concerned Korea and Japan are ahead of the US in technology, this technology then find its way to the US.
The oil being sold in dollars means that effectively the US is getting everything free from the rest of the world. This is a new form of colonialism. Therefore this image of an American being superior to other people is a mirage, which is slowly being shattered. We are now headed for a multipolar world, and the re-emergence of the rest of the world. I want this transition to be peaceful.

I think people just need to grow up and stop coming up with false reasoning and using dumb logic by making statements like, "Mirpuris are scum", "America is sick place", "British Pakistanis are extremists", "Canadians are dumb and nobodies" etc.
Why can't we address each issue without bringing in the stereotypes?

Generalizations are generally pretty dumb. But its human nature to simplify complex issues by drawing vast generalizations. The human mind needs to make sense of things, and things that seem to complex to be ordered are easily lumped into artificial categories.

Why don't you explain why America has toppled or try to topple 28 countries since 1918? These being democratically elected.
Don't even think about using the self interest as an excuse. Every country has to protect itself but America abuses that power more than anyone! And no they don't owe anyone anything but sure as hell don't have the right to intervene in foreign countries either. The lame excuse 'we are doing this to protect American citizens . Why don't you pop that huge arrogant bubble as a country and realise that America is a dying superpower. Soon an oligopoly of powers will control this world. The secular elite are only secular in their personal lives, not in the way they run the country. They have failed Pakistan not because they were secular, but because they were NOT secular. article 2 of the constitution, Islam is viewed NOT as a divine source of legislation but as "the state religion of Pakistan". This is no different from Western states view of the Christian religion in their lands.

Sorry I have no explanation for that but I also don't have any explanation for the complacency exhibited by Muslim leaders throughout the world. Unlike the US, they owe a duty to their brothers but there they are appeasing the US and giving in to their every demand. As I said, the US doesn't owe anyone anything and every superpower since the beginning of mankind has sought to look out for its own interests.
I don't agree with a lot of facets of US policy but my point of contention is with people just rushing to jump on the "let's bash the US" bandwagon. They act as if the countries they live in are free of sin without realizing that every country has flaws. People express extreme patriotism towards Pakistan inspite of the horrendous leaders so why can't we be patriotic and express our love towards the US? Why do we have to apologize for being patriotic??

There is nothing wrong with bashing the US in context, freedom of speech and all that malarkey. Nobody here is criticising the patriotism. Hell, even I have a lot of love for my country. However, if they initiate or take part in wrongdoing than sorry, I will speak out about it. It doesn't make me less loyal.
The US is not what it once was... The days are long gone for those triad countries. There is soon to be a new era. In my life time?
As an Economist I like to disagree. There is a global shift in power. 10-20 years ago the US could demand something from another nation by clicking its fingers. Now, countries like China, usually, stick up two fingers.
