Bhutto was a dismal failure as a politician and was a criminal who was punished for killing political opponents. Some naive hero-worshipping Pakistani forget how many times Bhutto brought Pakistan to disasterous ends:

• provoking India into attacking Pakistan Punjab and the city of Lahore in '65. This criminal was the foreign minister then.

• refusing to accept Mujeeb's majority fighting against Bengalis and losing half of the country in '71.

• suppressing political opponents by force resulting in death penalty and hanging.

He further cursed Pakistan in the form of his children:

• Shahnawaz: associated with the terrorist organization al-zulfiqar.

• Murtaza: sentenced to prision for involvement in a PIA plane hijacking. Killed in a police shootout under his sister's rule. His men started shooting at the police. Ironically, his sister had given shoot-to-kill orders to the police who were killing Karachiites left, right and center. Chickens came boot-oo home to roost that day. Thank god for the news paper photographers for publishing the story with pictures otherwise their naive jiyalas would've claimed a conspiracy by the dead zia-ul-haq.

Pakistan army doesnt consist of mujaheedins but paid servants and their job is to defend its borders - they take oath to defend the country and upheld the constitution..unfortunately they have conquered tiem and again their own country.. indulged in politices and their greed has no bounds..losing parts of country in between.. indulged in land mafia, arms/drug smuggling etc. and most army generals were involved.. when I talk about army its teh top brass not the ordinary hard working army personnels..

Zia and Bhutto weren't much different from each other; both did terrible things to Pakistan. Well, Bhutto did lose half of Pakistan and two wars to India so Bhutto was much worse than Zia.

It's an interesting thing to note that rest of the world celebrate peoples as heroes who accomplished big things. Unfortunately losers in Pakistan celebrate losers like boot-oohs who lost half the country in '71, murdered political opponents, hijacked planes, and then murdered their siblings.

It is also intersting to note that people will blindly ignore the facts and blame just one person for all the ills, like the best joke I read above that Bhutto provoked India into 1965 war as he was the foreign minsiter, not the military ruler Ayub but Bhutto. Bhutto had his faults but compared to the miltary duffers he was miles ahead, both made mistakes and Bhutto made some serious ones as well, in the end the primary responsibility for losing East Paksitan was the army's. I am proud of the army and Bhutto both have their drawbacks but lets not say one is saaf and shaffaf and the other is evil (Zia excepted).

Everything else can be counted/discounted as ur hatred for Bhuttos but Bhutto being failure is too much to swallow by vast majority of Pakistanis.. he is teh only politician par exellence in post-independence era in pakistan whose leadership qualitie shave been acknowledged and admired by not only his admirers but opponents too.. just look at the posts above - those against BB policies are mostlt admirers of Z A Bhutto ! Thanks for reminding us about the facts. After the Runn of Kutch incident, it wasn't a little birdie that told Ayub to attack Indian occupied Kashmir, that idiot was Boot-oh. India retaliated by attacking Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Pakistan's Punjab province. Boot-oh wanted to fight a 'thousand years'. He thought he could bully the world and Pakisatnis. World kicked his ass and then Pakistanis.
