Actually Bhutto was the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister in that military junta, and in front of the UN Security Council he tore up the Polish Resolution. He threatened to break the legs of any member from his party that dared to attend the session of the parliament in East Pakistan, and start civil strife from “Karachi to Khyber” if Mujib was made PM.

So Bhutto did not just utter a few words in some Lahore rally he shares equal blame in the breakup of Pakistan to the field generals and rulers, and separatists in the east. That is what 75% of the people in Pakistan believe, because it is factually true.

The bottom line is the army held the elections and it was their responsibility to hand over the power to the elected representatives. Why didn't they? They are overwhelmingly responsible for the break up of Pakistan. As for the 75% of the people's, belief hold a free and fair elections and the current overwhelmingly popular president will be wiped off the face of this earth. that is factually true as well. Something to contemplate.

Actually, ZAB became Foreign minister and Deputy Prime Minister to that military junta at the very height of the 1971 crisis. Just as he was Foreign Minister to another military junta - Ayub Khan in the 1960's. Stanley Wolpert book "Zulfi Bhutto of Pakistan" mentions his close contacts with the Yahya military junta right throughout the crisis (before the elections until the surrender). ZAB ended up tearing up the Polish Resolution did he not? That is not salvaging anything for Pakistan.

Did ZAB not threaten to "break the legs" of any member from West Pakistan who attended the Dhaka assembly? Did he not threaten civil strife as well? That is how he got himself appointed Foreign minister and Deputy Prime Minister to that military junta, and be part of the decision-making that led to that assembly meeting being postponed.

I condemn ZAB's Balochistan's operation and BB's massacre of Mohajirs. Do you condemn the massacre of tens of thousans of Balochi's by the ZAB regime, the torture of Pakhtun activists?

As MQM is in power they can start investigations against PPP for ur allegation of murdering thousands.. may be tomorrow they wont havetime since there might be another round of chitrol..

Bhutto too became president not PM of Pakistan... the meeting was to be held to discuss new constitution not making some one PM! Mujeeb was admanet about his 6 points - automatic breakup of Pakistan.. Mujeeb had promised to frce his 6 points on west Pakistan and army and west Pakistan were not agrreing on those points.. army had the power not Bhutto at that time..

How did ZAB then appoint Nural Amin as Prime Minister in Dec 1971?

Bhutto was Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to the Yahya military junta. Just like in the 1960's he was Foreign Minister to the Ayub military junta*.* In Dec 1971 he became Chief Martial Law Administrator (CMLA) of Pakistan, along with President. All done without a constitution.

Bhutto threatened to "break the legs" of any member from West Pakistan who attended the session of the constituent assembly in Dhaka. He threatened to cause civil unrest from Karachi to Khyber.
