Well i got use to of not taking sugar at all but i m back to that half spoon bit :( gotta go way back! :D
Are you talking about desi chai or Chinese tea? Desi chai is a badIdea but Chinese dietary tea on the other hand is very good for you. I can't do without chai. I have substituted regular sugar with equal or splenda for now. And I am using 2% milk for chai.

I drink chai with half a tsp of sugar. I have at least 2 cups a day. It doesn't hurt me at all. Chai keeps me full longer so I don' eat as much. I don't like chai with no sugar. I am satisfied and full.

Yesterday was an ok day. Ate cereal in the morning and had subway in the evening. Was able to squeeze in half hour for an intense workout. I had some fruit too and chai. I would say I had about 800 calories again and was able to burn off 250 or so. I am starting to feel a difference which is a good news. Can't say I lost anything yet.

have officially decided to join in on the challenge : my main motivation being i found out im a bridesmaid for my cousins wedding which is in 40 days or so ......
hence current weight 72 .......
goal weight 65 ...
method: ramadan + carbless iftars ....
im so desperate to get to 65 the last time iw as 65 was 3 yrs ago and i dont want to go on this steady incline of my weight as i get older ... the thought is so DEPRESSING so im determined to turn back the clock and get to my weight when i was 16/17 which was low 60's .... AMEN TO THAT

I haven't lost any weight this week because I'm eating too much rice and haven't done any proper exercise either....I think I'm just going to start it again after Ramadan.

Why start after ramadan ? Since you'll already be limiting your calorie intake you may aswell use it to your advantage .....

To all ladies who hope to lose weight this ramadan here's a list of foods you should STAY AWAY FROM COMPLETELY , YES THAT MEANS NOT EVEN ONE TINY BITE
Biryani (does not help in any way to your weight loss goals, laden with oil and is a 95 percent carb meal so NO)
Pakora, (don't even look at them)
Ice-cream, (have half a glass of milk if you must)
Naan, ( not even one or half a naan )
Let me STRESS to you all, come iftar-time you must excersise a LOT of CONTROL over yourself to not go nuts which is the easiest response most muslims have at iftar, so to avoid losing control the above list of no-go foods eliminates the risk of having a moment of weakness and 20 minutes later you're feeing fat, bloated and guilty for polishing away that huge plate of biryani that will now require you to workout till u sweat profusely which no-one wants to do after iftar and you most likely will not do either , so you'll just end up giving up all together and going back for seconds , making yourself feel better with the thought you'll start again tomorrow.
NO NO NO - THERE IS NO STARTING AGAIN TOMORROW , THERE IS RIGHT NOW , AND ONLY RIGHT NOW AND TOMORROW IS IRRELEVANT - SO MAKE RIGHT NOW COUNT - IF YOU TRULY WANT TO CHANGE THINGS ONCE AND FOR ALL

got my 30 day shred dvd yesterday…and did the workout boy was i knackered!!
and was sweating buckets!! my body is still achy but stil gonna do the exercise tonite…![]()
was good with diet too..had melon for brekky and salad for lunch and half roti at dinner ![]()

I am excited about ramadan. I am positive I'll lose more weight IA. I would need some help from you guys though. I want good healthy/low cal sehri and iftari ideas. We can each post what we had for sehri and iftari each day and that way we are sharing our recipes and also keeping an eye on our food. Working out after Iftari is a must!

Day 1
Breakfast: highfibre cereal
Lunch: chilli con carne with sliced pear
Dinner: egg omelette with capsicum, cucumber and tomato
I'm finding it quite difficult as my normal diet consisted of WAY more carbs .... rice and naan Mmmmmm , you just dont feel full on this stuff lol ohwell ...

I have been slacking lately. I have done no exercise in the last 2 days. However, I am not eating much. My calorie intake has been under 800 and I don't feel hungry. I feel a difference like I said before. My tummy feels tighter and my bosom seems a little deflated lol.

last two days iv only been able to do my exercises at night after the kids are in bed
and i go to my mum’s to exercise with my sisters (otherwise we prob wont be motivated on our own!
)
yesterday was day 2 of my exercise and it was hard!
my body was really achy afterwards but we kept pushing each other to complete it which we did
and im soooo happy that im going to stick to it iA ![]()

yesterday i had a peanut butter sandwich with a cup of chai .. lunch big bowl of cantaloupe ..dinner 1 plate pulao and shami kabab i couldnt resist ![]()

Hey Girls
Sorry I haven’t replied, was home on the weekend and couldn’t seem to access GS off my Blackberry
So update .. I haven’t lost any weight off the scales, Haven’t been too good at home unfortunately like Hareem, I had a bit too much rice..
Friday I went for a run at the Gym at 6 am :woohoo: and then went for a class at 11ish then didn’t go again for two days
It is my first roza today, Ramadhan Mubarak to you all ![]()
I had a glass of water and a Glass of Pouring Yoghurt this am with a small handful of Cashew nuts
I plan to go for a run at around 6pm today for atleast an hour and then inshALLAH Iftar will be Dates and another glass of pouring milk
How are you girls doing..
24 days and 20 hours left girlies..
PS I have my check in at Curves sow ill be getting full measurements done ..
