Nothing is being planned on my side 
I will be going back to Lahore in June, and then gona start preparing for my devar to be’s wedding. I wonder if i will be able to do anything for
my own wedding.
BTW, i want to get this dress made for myself, does anyone know the price of this one or did anyone selected this for thier wedding, is it good for baraat or walima???

It looks more barat than valima to me. But if you change the color combo then it can definetley work as a valima jora too.

@ Holy Moly: I am pretty sure it's a Sana Safinaz one.. It'll be quite pricy but I dunno your budget? I do know it's a 2009 design, so if you check out her website or store when you do go to Pakistan you may find something of newer design?
Is your Devar to Be's wedding before yours??
@ Cup Cake..: so mum got fewer heavy ones - which I tried to keep mainly long kameez with chaaks some with churidaars and some with trousers. All are different in kaam style and colors.. I found a mix of gold and silver work on same jora looks amazing.. Some of the more expensive ones work is more on the bodice rather than damaan so if fashion changes the shirt wont go to waste.. Then she got lots of semi formal ones, they werent as pricey so they have latest trends in them all.. and since i'll be getting married in summer over here, i told her to pls make heaps of lawn ones hehe..
Bridal outfit - farshi gharaha red & green.. -it's been ordered dying to see it.. tho in live hehe.. and valima one in laws have ordered that.. fingers crossed everything gets here well & safe !!

^^ What is safa Safina's webbsite? can you please give it to me? I heard she is one of the most expensive. My budget is ok, my inlaws however may not be able to afford me anything over 70k, so i am going to ask them very politely not to make any bridal outfit for me, instead make me a couple of semi formals.
Yes, my devar to Be's wedding is before mine, i wore sari on my other devar to be's walima and semi formal and casual on mendi and baraat, i think i am going to do the same for this one.

When’s your wedding.. Your probably doing the rght thing by wearing semi formal to the wedding - since soon after you’ll be getting married and it’ll look nicer when your more dressed up..

Thanks for the website Zainykhan, i still think this one is the best in her collection.
Yeah i’ll be getting both my Walima and Bridal outfits, since i know they won;t be buying from any designer or anything and i don;t want to wear a dress from anarkali, they have poor fittings.

Now - advice time..
So I have been the type whose danced and SO many peoples wedding, and now that it's my mendhi now, I can't justify not dancing. I always wanted to be the traditonal bride, but I think I have decided i'll dance. I mean my fiance is into dancing too..
Now i am thinking after all the rasms and stuff, I take the dupatta off my head and wear it normally to dance - else won't it just kill the dulhan look??

I am not at all into dancing, infact i can;t even do one step, not is my finace into dancing, but i SOOOO want to dance in my wedding,

kinda backward family and there was no dancing in his big bro's shadi, now he other bro marrying a canadian national, i am so hoping that they

No, it won;t kill the dulhan look, one of my friend did dance on her Baraat, and later she pulled her husband on the stage, by the end of the song both the families were on stage plus the close friends, dancing... it was so much fun. I loved it so much :) that was the first ever wedding i attended in Pakistan, and loved it!!

That Sana Safinaz outfit is amazing! I had a search quite a while back and I think it costs atleast £3000+, but it is so beautiful!

Firstly, if the world ends in 2012 I will be extremely sad because my wedding is supposed to be in Dec 2012 :(. Already nikkahed in Summer of 2010 but finishing up school here in the US and the hubs is working in UAE so the agreement was for me to finish grad school first!
I'm so glad for this thread. I have been searching for bridals for a long time now and will have to make a trip to pakistan to shop for sure. My wedding is in pakistan as well but I'll def have to go once to shop even though its expensive just to go there but you can't tell anything by looking at pics and the designers don't help out that much over the phone. I have always wanted a Karma bridal so I will def go and check out some of her bridals. Zainab Sajid is another one of my new favorites but she's based in Khi and I'm from Lhr so not sure if ill be able to go in person to check out her stuff. She seems reasonably priced so if any of you are planning to go to Khi do check her out and let me know!
So yeah since my wedding is all the way at the end of next year and the world might be over anyway...should I even bother?? LOL jk!!! I think I'll start looking into booking a hall or anything of that sort by the end of this year because winter is crazy busy wedding season and booking in advance is the only way to go otherwise people end up having weddings in the afternoon because they couldn't find any other available times :(
