They dont care becoz all they care about is themselves. The first unwritten rule in international politics is that self national interest comes first. And everyone thinks Musharaff is their 'go to guy' when dealing with Taliban and Al Qaeda because a Civilian government has never had the full power in Pakistan that a military government has, therefore the west prefers to deal with the military governments because it is in their own national interest. They dont give a damn that the military government is a dictatorship or murdering innocent people as long as they themselves get what they want. After their own needs are fulfilled, only then do they start making noises.....just like they did with Saddam Hussein. Theres a reason why a lot of Pakistanis hate the Americans, it has very little to do with religion, and more to do with who they support in Pakistan...ie killers and dictators like Zia Ul Haq and Pervez Musharaff.
Oh....I remember those days when people on this board used to say that Musharraf is the best thing that happened to Pak after Jinnah. Same people also said ..who cares about democracy when Musharraf is doing so good.
