MQM not a terrorist organisation! LOL

This should be in the jokes section..

Re: 12 May - KARACHI Rallies & Bloodshed (merged)

Yes, I know about Ch.Nisar Ali Khan and the money looting scandal of the motor-wayproject, but his leader Nawaz Sharif was calling the MQM an "aman pasand" and "jamhooriat" party only 2 days ago. What do you say to that?

Re: MQM not a terrorist party - PML (Nawaz) leader Ch.Nisar Ali Khan

since when was nawaz the paragon of virtue? they are all thugs who will are al in it for themselves. they can kill each other but at the same time can unite as best friends against their common enemy - the downtrodden masses.

they are all one. they all have the same agenda - they have all slept in the same bed at one point and if not so are all willing too.

27 killed, dozens wounded as Pakistan’s crisis erupts

At least 27 people were killed and dozens more wounded in the city of Karachi yesterday as Pakistan’s political crisis escalated into fierce gun battles. The crisis, sparked by President Pervez Musharraf’s suspension of the country’s chief justice, Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry, on 9 March, exploded into lethal clashes on the streets of Karachi when Chaudhry tried to visit the city for a political rally of his supporters.
The suspension of Chaudhry over allegations of ‘misconduct’ has outraged the judiciary and the opposition, and rapidly turned into the most serious challenge to Musharraf’s authority since he seized power in 1999 in a bloodless coup.

** The crisis coincides with the run-up to a general election and an anticipated attempt by Musharraf, a close ally of the US, to secure another term. Analysts say Musharraf’s main motive in seeking the removal of the independent-minded Chaudhry is to have a more pliable man in place in case of a constitutional challenge to his plans. The chief justice has been outspoken in his criticism of the government and has made a number of judgments that have irritated the government.**
As Musharraf yesterday ruled out declaring a state of emergency, hospital officials in Karachi said that at least 27 people had died in the violence and 55 were wounded.
Television pictures showed men with AK-47 assault rifles firing from behind cars. A man with a neck wound was shown crying in a bus and another wounded man lay gasping in a pool of his own blood.
The gun battles broke out as Chaudhry arrived at Karachi airport, for what organisers hoped would be the largest in two months of rallies by lawyers and opposition parties protesting at his suspension, after ignoring requests from provincial officials to postpone his visit because of fears of bloodshed.
** Opposition activists accused supporters of a pro-government party, the Mutahida Qami Movement (MQM), of attacking them with batons and gunfire as they attempted to greet the judge at the airport.**
** Witnesses described MQM supporters calling for ammunition and firing from buildings, reportedly at supporters of the Pakistan’s People’s Party and Jamaat-e-Islami while opposition supporters were firing back. Later, a senior MQM leader, Farooq Sattar, said four of the party’s supporters died in the clash.**
Chaudhry had earlier declined an offer from authorities to travel to the venue of a planned downtown rally by helicopter and so was stranded at Karachi airport - as were hundreds of passengers from earlier flights. He later abandoned his efforts to enter the city.
Wasim Akhtar, an MQM official with the provincial government, urged Chaudhry to return to Islamabad to avoid further violence. The MQM is a partner in a coalition ruling Sindh province, of which Karachi is the capital.
Arshad Zubairi, chief executive of the private TV network Aaj, said that its building elsewhere in the city had been fired on by MQM supporters who wanted them to stop airing live footage of the unrest.
** The government’s failure to contain the unrest in Karachi, despite the presence of 15,000 security forces, will deepen the political turmoil gripping Pakistan.**

Re: MQM not a terrorist party - PML (Nawaz) leader Ch.Nisar Ali Khan

So why have MQM activists been on many trials charged with political murder and convicted. Altaf legged it beforehand.

Re: 12 May - KARACHI Rallies & Bloodshed (merged)

IT'S TIME FOR KARACHI TO SECCEDE FROM PUNJABI POLITICS ...IT'S TIME FOR INDEPENDENT KARACHI.....THAT'S IT!!

Re: 12 May - KARACHI Rallies & Bloodshed (merged)

And that won’t create any violence from the Sindhi’s(Karachi is their capital), Pathan’s and many others in Karachi!

Stupidest idea I have heard

Re: MQM not a terrorist party - PML (Nawaz) leader Ch.Nisar Ali Khan

Your army has been responsible for ethnic cleansing and genocide against bengalis, balochs, mohajirs, sindhis etc. and supporting terrorists like al qaeda and taliban. If anything pakistan army should be declared a terrorist organization and disbanded.

Musharraf asked to resign

http://www.dawn.com/2007/05/13/top5.htm

From now on there seemed to be no cooperation from BB to Mush. After what had happened in Karachi, that dumb @$$ Mush should leave ASAP otherwise civil war is imminent and most probably further breakup of Pakistan as lovers of terrorists’ party MQM predicting here.

FARID

Musharraf asked to resign

Dawn Report

ISLAMABAD, May 12: Condemning what they called the worst form of state terrorism unleashed in Karachi, opposition leaders on Saturday demanded an immediate resignation by President Pervez Musharraf.

In their separate statements, former prime minister and Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) chief Nawaz Sharif, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal president Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan said that ‘terrorism’ in Karachi was pre-planned and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement had been given a freehand to kill innocent people, destroy peace and attack media organisations and journalists in Karachi.

Ms Bhutto condemned what she described as “the civil war-like conditions created by the ruling party in Karachi”.

In a statement issued here, Ms Bhutto claimed that 14 of those killed during violence in the city on Saturday were workers of the Pakistan People’s Party.

“The sight of the sons of Pakistan bleeding to death on the street of Karachi is a shocking insight into the cruelty of the present regime,” she said.

She called upon the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of the incident. She demanded registration of cases against the law-enforcement agencies personnel and Muttahida Qaumi Movement members involved in the violence, their arrest and prosecution.

Speaking at a hurriedly called press conference in London, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said that the real face of dictatorship had been exposed.

Mr Sharif said workers of the PML-N along with those of other parties had suffered fatal casualties and many of them were seriously injured.

“But the sacrifices of these people will not go waste,” he added.

The PML-N chief said the Chief Justice of Pakistan had been detained once again and this time by the Sindh government on the orders of Gen Musharraf.

“They even tried to abduct him in a helicopter. Lawyers were stopped by armed gangs from reaching the Sindh High Court. Some women lawyers were treated in a most shameful manner,” he alleged.

He said Gen Musharraf on Saturday had made a dangerous attempt to divide the people of Pakistan.

“I vehemently condemn all these acts of state terrorism,” He added.

According to Mr Sharif, the most heartening outcome of the events in Karachi had been the utter refusal by the patriotic people of the city to side with dictatorship and gangsterism.

He said all sober and patriotic members of the MQM stayed away from the state-sponsored rally, which consisted of only a few hundred people and was a total flop.

“I want to salute these patriotic people of Karachi and Sindh on behalf of all Pakistan for sending a clear message that they will not side with dictatorship but with the constitution,” he declared.

Describing the current struggle as a movement, he said it would only gain momentum and the people would not rest till there was rule of law and democracy in Pakistan.

General Musharraf, he said, had used the institution of the army to fulfil his ‘fascist ambitions’ and “now there is real danger that people could turn against the army and this must be avoided at all costs”.

He said the entire world had witnessed the true face of dictatorship in Pakistan. If allowed to continue it would completely destroy Pakistan and destabilise the region.

Qazi Hussain said: “We condemn the provincial government’s direct involvement in disturbing the law and order situation in Karachi.”

He said that no military general would be allowed to take over from Gen Musharraf to start another reign of terrorising the nation.

Imran Khan said that the MQM was an ethnic party which was involved in terrorist activities. He said that Gen Musharraf had become the security risk for the country. “Time has come that Gen Musharraf and the military should quit.”

He said that TV channels in their live transmission had clearly shown the activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement firing and beating lawyers and the general public who were there to welcome Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

Chaudhry Nisar said the government had lost its credibility and the law and order situation in the country demanded Gen Musharraf and his government to step down immediately.

In Karachi, Naheed Khan, political-secretary to Benazir Bhutto, claimed that Muttahida Qaumi Movement ‘terrorists’ fired on her procession near Aysha Bawani College. According to her, the terrorists taking position on roofs of a college and Sea Breeze Plaza resorted to indiscriminate firing on the procession.

She said that gates of the Saddar police station were locked from inside and shots were fired on the procession from the police station, where MQM ‘terrorists’ had taken shelter.

She said dozens of teargas shells were fired from the roof of the police station, leaving scores of workers, including women, unconscious.

She said more than 200 People’s Party workers had been trapped beneath the Baloch Colony bridge and held hostage by the MQM activists.

MMA leader Liaquat Baloch said that politics of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement were based on violence and bloodshed. He said the MQM was a coalition partner of the ruling party and its decision to take out the rally was an attempt to create turmoil and anarchy in the country.

Mr Baloch said the government was trying to create an environment to impose emergency in the country, adding that people of the country were united to against the dictatorship.

Re: Musharraf asked to resign

He will not resign, not matter how much the country burns

He will 'leave' like other dictators, when pushed or killed

The Political Game on Blood

Many innocent people were killed and much of the property of of a poorly country was destroyed. The authorities having command and power to control the situation remained spectators of the disaster for hours long rather for a day. The one becoming a spectator of such an entertainment indicates having a cool or rather a dead heart.
The president of Pakistan tries to hoist a runaway notorious bandit Iltaf Hussain as a national leader and is running a compaign to spread his party all over Pakistan. All the anti-state elements of Pakistan are being collected under the banner of the Mohajir Party of Iltaf Hussain. Mr.Musharraf is trying hard to strengthen Iltaf Hussain to make him his political aide but blood never goes in vain. He has been torturing and killing thousands of the creatures of God and being a cunning man fully realizes the danger. Once a man told that Pakistan Army seized one of a torture cells of Iltaf Hussain and there were put more than a kilogram of the plucked nails of humans. That is the reason that he mourns and cries from England but dares not come to his country. Even if Mr.Musharraf turn himself into a sweet dish for Iltaf Hussain he will not be able to bring him to Pakistan.
*If the chief justice was corrupt man, he could have been dismissed, jailed or restricted to his home by the order of the government. This what is going on and making the whole nation suffering seems to be some political game being played on the spilt blood of the innocent people. Further are the burning assets for the nation to suffer more. *

Re: Musharraf asked to resign

if this carries on Mushy will loose any remaining support of public. He will get closer to thugs like MQM, fix elections and mix with other cronies to stay in power. Back to the bad days of Pakistan. Army, Police and others will be under orders to keep the dictator under power.

Re: Musharraf asked to resign

He doesent have any remaining support to begin with. The only people who are still with him are those who have positions of power because of him as well as the wafadar kuttas - ie..the MQM. The rest of the nation is against him. As for him leaving, he will never leave willingly..being the power hungry murderer that he is. He will probably be killed and sent to hell...and that will probably happen very soon otherwise the country will break up - so the end of Musharaff is very very near.

Re: MQM not a terrorist party - PML (Nawaz) leader Ch.Nisar Ali Khan (merged)

Our army is so unpopular amongst the common people that if they didnt have the power of guns...the people would be beating them up on the streets.

Once Musharaff is sent to hell, I hope the new army leadership rebuilds not only the army but also its relationship with the common man.

Re: 12 May - KARACHI Rallies & Bloodshed (merged)

Karachi is 80% Urdu speaking & they deserve their rights to be taken care off.

Re: Musharraf asked to resign

wat i dont understand is: hes a dictator and every1 nos about that meanin uk and usa so y are they not gettin rid of him?? or stopping him?
sacking the chief justice was just out of order as the rule of law should be the most important thing in any country.

Re: MQM not a terrorist party - PML (Nawaz) leader Ch.Nisar Ali Khan (merged)

They are not to worry for national interest and keep words but are very strict to their selfish designs. That is the formula of democracy that has been since long carried on here.
You may have been hearing them talking before the foreign media of the secrets of national interests which they disclose as soon as they lose the seat.
