Re: Your Favorite Character from Urdu Literature
Umera Ahmed recently said that none of her characters inspired her except the character of Aks from her latest novel, but I think she really idealised Salar’s character in ‘Peer e Kamil’
Re: Your Favorite Character from Urdu Literature
very valid observation. The popular Urdu characters mostly come from adventure series like Imran series and those written by Ishtiyaq Ahmed.
True. Urdu writers have mostly been busy writing poetry. There have not been many good prose-writers or story-tellers, except may be Khawateen Digest novel writers.

I like the line when Umro Ayyar killed any of the deo and then came the voice ' Ah mera naam fallaN dev tha, mujhe Umro Ayyar ne Mara' and then Umro Ayyar saying 'Khas kam jahan Pak'.
