hmmm mine are;

qayuum from raja gidh (by bano qudsia)
laali from jangloos (by shaukat siddiqui)
gaiti araa / safdar(china-man) / sajjad from dastakk na do (by altaf fatima)
Ali from udaas naslain (by Abdullah hussain)
fitrat from pressure cooker (by siddique salik).

I liked Seemi more than Qayyum in Raja Gidh.

Isn’t Dastak na do heavily inspired from Tagore’s Kabli wala?

yes, even i remained sad for 3-4 days after reading this novel but so much reality in it.

yes, seemi, prof.sohail, amtul are no doubt great characters of raja gidh, i don’t think dastak na do is inspired from Tagore’s kabuli wala (very different).

I bought Dastak na do and have read Kabliwala before it. While going through ‘Dastak na do’, it seems very similar to Kabuliwala so I stopped reading. Will give it a next try

The characterisation in Raja Gidh by Bano Qudsia is just amazing. Each small character leaves its impact.
