That reminds me of this; a bangladeshi muslim friend of mine came to me and said, what is wrong with you pakistani, this pakistani muslim asked me if I know Urdu and I said no and he said what kind of (desi) muslim are you that you dont even know urdu

wonderful, ok then i 'll take it to mean all those things mentioned

i’m nonmuslim and no it’s not that i got offended or felt bad but it was very strange and i’ve never heard it said by a desi to somebody who has no hijab on, i didn’t know there was a muslim look in terms of features, that’s what i meant

in terms of nationality, i’ve been asked if i was hispanic, pakistani, middle eastern but never in terms of a certain religious look. it was more of a moment like “eh?”

If all of my Indian female cousins agree not to take it as offence, complexion is widely used to differentiate b/w Pakistani and Indian girls. She might have used the same to identify you as Muslim.

No wonder, Karishma Kapoor and Preity Zinta are preferred for “Muslim girl” roles in bollywood movies

in terms of features, complexion and even religion what an indian is and looks like changes from region to region and subculture to subculture, an east indian looks so very very very different from a western indian and a north indian looks miles apart from say an indian from tamil nadu. these girls are totally and completely indian eastern indian

and i was talking about facial features and complexion and the look of what an indian looks like…of course your eyes went right to the breasts. I guess i should’ve checked that first just so the pic could pass the janwar approval test

yes but like i said, if you read what I said in that comment, even with a normal girl on the streets the look(complexion or features) and religion/subculture changes going from east to west and north to south in india. i posted a pic of a normal girl in east india, the mizo girl in traditional wear. there's way too much diversity to say that this is what a normal indian girl looks like, which region are you talking about, if you take a girl in tamil nadu and say that that's how all indian girls look like, it would be ludicrous

i think most pakistanis are all punjabis right and then you have small amounts of other groups too that's not at all the case with india. the two countries couldn't be more different when it comes to subcultures/languages/facial features, there's way too much diversity to say that this is is what an indian looks like. I hope you understand what i'm trying to say here

i'm pretty sure that's the case with "you look muslim" b/c what a muslim looks like changes from country to country

sourabhee debbarma was the indian idol winner last year, she’s a normal indian girl on the subway in northeast india. indian idol contestants are right off the streets of middle class india and they are so diverse in their looks

actually even i would notice them first if they're one of the humungous, in your face ones that are like woah :D then the face....some women go totally crazy with those operations, ahem
