"you don't look pakistani!"

Re: "you don't look pakistani!"

^chanda is Kashmiri though so some kashmiris would sort of stand out and not blend in

Re: "you don't look pakistani!"

Yes I know she is kashmiri Indopak. I'm just saying that there are people who argue that that is what an average pakistani looks like, fair skinned etc but then when u have a Pakistani who looks like that most of the people ask twice if the person is indeed a pakistani, myself included. I guess it proves their theory wrong.

Gamma Januray is be-nice-to-gamma-on-weekdays month. Please come back in February as I do not log on during weekends :p

Re: "you don't look pakistani!"

I always thought Pakis were big eyed and light skinned in terms of the stereotype...and some girls would have a specific nose structure which made it obvious...thing is even those that dont fit that stereotype i can tell to be pakistani...

Iv heard some random ones before...the most random being a yemeni jew...i keep told i look like that gym class heroes guy these days lol...

Re: "you don't look pakistani!"

Afshi you probably get the arab comments because of your scarf. I get that too, I had one woman asking me if I was Palestinian and when I told her I was Pakistani she was disappointed. lol.

I've also had people thinking im Turkish, Bengali (why?). actually it also depends on the area you go to if it is where there is a certain minority, they'll tend to think you're their kind.

Re: "you don't look pakistani!"

I agree Bismah...it can have something to do with a high concentration of certain ethnicities in a particular area...I lived for a short time in a particular part of North London, where I was often mistaken for Turkish...which I never got anywhere else...

Re: "you don't look pakistani!"

Re: “you don’t look pakistani!”

My Ancestors are Persian Jews

Kashmiri Butt people are actually Persian Jews who converted to Islam and fled Iran in the 15th Century and settled in Kashmir
