How would you know if he is not a virgin? If he is proud of what he did and is bragging about it, that could be a good warning from god to find someone better - unless you want him to strike the guy with a lightening bolt.
If he has done it in the past, and has no intention on doing it again (extramarital), I don't see much harm in that arrangement. If I found out after getting married that my lady was not a virgin when I married her, but if I am sure she is not and will not be cheating on me, I'll be fine with it. I haven't done it, but I'm no saint otherwise. If I were a complete mullah, then yeah perhaps it would bother me more.
The point is, I am not turning down a otherwise good woman because she made a mistake and committed a sin in her past. But thats just me.
unless the guy is ashamed of it because he realized he has done a wrong thing *islamically then i am fine. other then that i think if he has done adultery once then he can do it again once he is married too. i don't think it's practical to expect someone change just because he is married.

Whats wrong in being `not virgin'.marriage means mutual understanding and co-operation. If you want to drive a fully clean car,you got keep the car in the car show room and enjoy it's beauty.
the reason i raised this discussion here is because i am a very conservative person. religion means a big deal to me. i can not imagine to live my life with someone who has committed gunnah-e-kabreera. if marriage means mutual understanding and co-operation as you mentioned, i don't think i can ever develop understand with that guy or agree to co-operate with him at all.
beside that i think there are countless things with being "non-virgin" (without marriage) but i am don't want to go over them here because the people who see those things wouldn't do it, and the people who don't see them has already done it. but for me, all i care about is that i am a muslim and ALLAHTALA doesn't allow it. and that's all i care about.
well i guess you have no factual information, desi men are the biggest braggers majority of them brag about what they have done and exaggerate the truth but i can show you a lot of men in my friends circle who have not even hugged a girl
