Belonging to a decent family is not a guarantee that no hanky panky happened.
This myth is not limited to Pakistan. In many cultures , countries, religions and tribes it is believed that if a girl did not bleed on first night then she is not a virgin.
Jahalat has not boundaries or bounds. Even very educated people can hold this belief.

oh please it's a total myth. for that matter, even a non virgin can bleed on her wedding night because of scar tissue left of hymen that is left. this is a total myth. not all women bleed. some have an intact hymen even if they have had it before, because of an anatomically flexible and elastic hymen. !
it's all BS ... though I would like to hear an honest neutral opinion of guys in this regard :)
