I like visiting India and meeting friends & relatives, but to return back & work in that environment - rishwat, traffic chaos, jealousy, greed etc, is no longer an option.

I was having a chat with an Indian this morning. Age over 40, they own a business. What they said that they have no problem moving to India. They can live in big houses, have maids, big cars and all the things in the world. This is because economy is great, better than America they said. Moreover, education is top-class. Life in America is very tough because of work and other tensions.
They will leave for India in January for 6 weeks, get their son married and come back to America.
For me personally, I would love to go back to Pakistan. Right now situation is not the best. There are many security concerns. When it gets better, I will certainly keep that in mind.

I lived there for about 14 months about 2 years ago..
It hurts to say this but it is true... if u have money in that country, then u could lead (financially) a more confortable life then u could had it been in the west. I think someone mentioned something about 100 K, well Rs 100K a month could mean u could live in a good area, afford the best of education, health, etc etc... a real ayaashi type of zindagi... that was my experience. I just pray that the state of pakistan changes for the better, Amin.

oh yea, if you have the big bucks and you live in India, then you would be living the life of a king or a queen. I guess when I save up enough money to live that lifestyle in India, I would love to live there a couple months in a year. Like a winter home or something:smooth:

Thogu i had spent my childhood abroad, i went back to Pakistan for college and spent 7 years there, i had adjusted well. Moved abroad again after graduation, but i going back had always been the plan and never thought adjustment will be a problem.
But on the last visit i found that ALL my family except one cousin have moved otu of Pakistan to UK, Europe, Canada or middle east. One has even setteled in Malaysia. Of about 15 first cousins that i have ONLY 1 is in Pakistan now. And it makes me wonder now as to how i will adjust, if i go back.

Teendabawala: Jealousy & greed is there, when you return. Supposedly with the big bucks. You can feel it there.
The people who were richer than you or your family now show signs of jealousy. Greed is shown by high expectation for expensive gifts (or demands prior to your coming).

I moved back in Lahore at the end of 2003 - adjusted beautifully as I was just in states for 6 years..

Please For God's Sake, never come back to Pakistan! That could be the most stupidest decision ever!!!!
Just think rationally...
WHy would you come back to Pakistan..listen to your mind not your heart!
Point 1 - You would come back so that your children could get an Islamic environment.... WRONG . Forget it.. The WEST is more Islamic and children would not grow up to be hypocretes.
Point 2 - You love your homeland - everyone does, so what... Love can be shown from outside.
Point 3 - Pakistan has got your khandan walas family... etc... Well if you love them so much call them there.. instead of ending up in Pakistan, and all you get is back biting... etc...
Point 4 - Paksitan is a nice place to live now- especially Islamabad...etc... NO WAY. Its full of pollution and worst of all suicide bombings...
SO PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK OF COMING BACK!
