Working women

Re: Working women

Well wheres the privacy? Im a women and I have to say I wouldn't want to a women married to man that has so many relatives around. Every women is entitled to her own space. Even in Islam it states that a husband is to provide his partner with her own space. I know a few families who have a joint family system, they have so many issues that wouldn't exist if they lived in their own houses.

Re: Working women

Its all about personal experience. Problems do happen due to misunderstandings in all the relationships be it a big joint family or single unit family

Re: Working women

Both have their place in society... Do you not feel that urban women have more of an open mind and understanding of life than rural women? May I ask are you a female? if you don't mind me asking

Re: Working women

:khumar:

Re: Working women

I'm a male. I do respect your opinion that urban women have more open mind and understnading of life. But I think when it comes to caring and sacrifying for relationship rural women is in no case behind urban women.

Re: Working women

Nomi Bhai, agar aap ke phullay khatam hojae to do let me know to arrange more for you.

Re: Working women

When you refer to sacrifying what are you refering too? I'm not being sexist but from a females perspective you will find women would proberbly prefer to live outside a joint family rather than in one. Women do not see things in the same way as men do. In rural womens cases they would be the one at home with the extended family having to put up with all the headache..... Noone wants to share a house....

Re: Working women

I mean to say rural women are more accommodating and less demanding.

Re: Working women

You make them almost sound like they are house bound slaves...not in so many words, like there only purpose is to obay....
They're only more accomodating because they have no choice and less demanding because there's no point them demanding because they won't get it

Re: Working women

There is no question of considering them as servant. Rural women are involved in household works for centuries and they never considers them slaves until the new ideas were imported from the west.

Re: Working women

You make it sound almost wrong in regards to western ideas... I live in the west and I work which I would greatly appreciate over being a rural women....
I'm sure if you asked many rural women they would prefer to have the life style of urban women, becuase it is more liberating

Re: Working women

The point is everyone is comfartable with their environment and rural women even don't know much about urban life style. In case they apprecaite the urban life style, its because 'Door ke dhol suhane' situation.

Re: Working women

Yes but could you say the same for the urban woman? lol NO

Re: Working women

Yes I can say that urban women don't know much about rural women and their lives. They only heard about the suffocation of rural life.

Re: Working women

Its not much about suffocation of the rural life but more to do with the face that rural women don't realy get the chance in life to explore and have much fun and socialise as do urban women....

Please do take it into consideration you can only see it from a male perspective.....

Re: Working women

But rural women have a different concept of social life and fun. Taking example of rural women of Pakistan they still enjoy to be part of gatherings related to weddings and other occasions.

I'm sure women who passed their earlier lives in Pakistan (even in rural areas) do miss their culture and life not just because of nostalgia but due to non-adjustment in other culture.

I very much doubt that they miss it too much lol.... I bet they wouldn't trade in urban life for rural....

How many women have moved from Pakistan in past and present and never want to look back to the way they use to be.... they don't mind going back but wouldn't trade in their urban life for rural life

Re: Working women

That is quite possible that once rural women get into the urban life style, they may not be able to adjust again in rural life easily, but no one can deny the fact that culture and attachment to your land remain in your roots all your life.

Many of the women who migrated from Indian areas to Pakistan during Partition, keep/ kept remembering their roots all the life.

Re: Working women

well they’re only next door lol not like their many countries apart :hoonh:
There’s hardly any culture difference between india and pakistan any way…

Culture difference is more hard hit when you move from a country like india or pakistan to a wester country

Re: Working women

Exactly, when women keep on remembering their past (their home towns, their traditions even the fruits and foods of that area) just after migration to next door countries (i.e. From India to Pakisatn or Pakistan to India) then the women migrating to west must remember their homeland with more intensity.
