This is true. That's happened to every woman in my family - my mom, my sister, my cousins, etc.
My sister, case in point, used to be sooooooo excessive in her shopping. I mean, this girl HAD to have a new brand name purse every year, and its because she didn't understand what daddy was going through to afford that for her.
Now she has a job and she's in grad school, and we've handed all her finances over to her, and our family gives her a monthly allowance plus the little she makes with her part-time, and she's managing her education loans...
that's pretty much put an end to coach purses.
So this example proves a woman who hasn't managed her expenses on her own is not qualified to run the house.
In our culture, most of the women never go through this phase because they never work.

I absolutely run my house and rule my house :).. don't be surprised I treat my husband with loads and loads of respect but in the end he knows if he wants to stay happy he must let me rule the house :)
