In my experience, I think we women are better at saving money than men. The amount of times my dad has done "fazool karch" is unbelievable...it drives my mum insane. Oh and I think we're better at bargain hunting...men will buy something that women can probably get for half the price.
Generally, men don't have a clue about what things are needed for the house unless they lived on their own before they married.

That's quite true. Men have been reduced to the role of yes-nodders when it comes to women. Marriages are no longer male-dominated or even balanced. Men willingly give up their rights and become subservient to women because of peer-pressure, or to conform to the media-portrayed ideal husband model, or because thats the only way they have seen things happen.

I handle my own life but things that I am lazy about.. or just procrastinate... my gf takes care of them really way.. some sht wud never get done if it wasnt for her..

I suck at managing financial stuff .. .. i spend a lot and i don't even remember what i did .. I will never prefer that i will take the household finances in my hand .. but it does not mean that i will force the next person to do it .. .. WE can do it together .. whats the problem in it ???
I guess, the mentality of "dominating" everything which exist in man should not be there anymore .. .. if you think about someone as your life partner then make her your partner not the slave .. .. .. rest is upto personal choices

Thats a load of bull. A man is to run the house, a woman is to take care of him.
actually it works other way round. wives normally hold horses once THEY are paying bills etc. At least mine (and many other i know) did. they become more conservative in spending once THEY become incharge
This is true. That's happened to every woman in my family - my mom, my sister, my cousins, etc.
My sister, case in point, used to be sooooooo excessive in her shopping. I mean, this girl HAD to have a new brand name purse every year, and its because she didn't understand what daddy was going through to afford that for her.
Now she has a job and she's in grad school, and we've handed all her finances over to her, and our family gives her a monthly allowance plus the little she makes with her part-time, and she's managing her education loans...
that's pretty much put an end to coach purses.

I'm in control of our finances, I do the accounting, shopping etc etc. I'm sure the OH could do it but prefers for someone else to take control.
