Assuming all normal solutions have been exhausted, such as communication (between husband and wife), impartial arbitrator, counseling etc, it should be ok for woman to demand divorce if the husband is not fulfilling his marital obligations. It should be ok from an Islamic standpoint, IMO, though I am not a mufti or anything, however....
However, common sense says that if a wife publicly accuses her husband of not sexually satisfying her in the bed (or otherwise is not satisfying her physical needs), that is much more shameful for the husband than for the wife. In which situation, any normal man can possibly retaliate with his own spin on the issue that can include fiction attributed to the wife, e.g. assumed marital infidelity. Divorce can still occur but it will be very messy. It may just be easier and less painful to attribute a more generic reason for asking divorce e.g. "irreconciliable differences" or "incompatible personalities" or "general unhappiness" etc. That both partners know the real reason for divorce should be enough and need not be publicized.

I doubt batteries and plastic and whatever else is any replacement for flesh and blood. And I thinkw e’re tlaking about more than just sex, but cuddling and kissing and foreplay as well, which supposedly many guys aren’t into

who says birth control isnt allowed? abortion is haram -true (Even thats allowed in certain circumstances for example when the womans life is in danger).
as far as birth control is concerned…its totally allowed. where does it say its not allowed. sperm is just some cells from ur body…its not a human so cant be murdered 
it only contains half the number of DNA that a human cell has…how can it then be a murder?
and contraception was even practiced in the Prophets(pbuh) time…corpus interruptus (?) -withdrawal. if you’re saying its not allowed…provide the evidence
