Will you go to church

every chrstina calls jesus christ their god so everytime sum1 says jesus christ u run away from there?

Re: Will you go to church

^ yes i always try to......

and listening this thing from someone accidently and "be a part" of thier sermon is different thing...

Well I do not believe that teh Bible in this form is the "word" of God but still i would not mind
reading it and comparing it or learning something from it. Nothing wrong with that and its not.
If your religion and your imaan is strong enough nothing i should be afraid of.

Anyway i think using this Donal Dutch that you are using is also shirk ;)
I love Donald Duck it was my favorite strip. :)

please refrain from posting personal attacks and try to stick to the subject being discussed.

Re: Will you go to church

I would go, absolutely!

The first time I went was for a school assignment, I sat through Sunday mass and participated in all of their rituals, received communion (only crackers, no wine) and was blessed by the priest since it happened to be my birthday. After that, it was mostly to experience some peace since I went to school in NYC and we had an awesome church inside our school.

Honestly, when you believe you're following the truth, you shouldn't be closed to other religions and there's no harm in mingling.

whats wrong with you? did i said someone about you or what? you dont have any right to insult or hurt someone like this...yea i know im Gunehgar ..but i love ALLAH and dont like shirk thats what i posted what i think...

if you dont like my posts then dont worry u will neever see me posting...be happy..God Bless you..

I’ve been to churches, mandirs, and synagogues for exploration purposes, and non-religious social gatherings. Also, I don’t see anything wrong with being part of the occasional sermon… it’s not like you’re praying there or involving yourself in any religious ritual that has been deemed inappropriate in the Quran or Sunnah, and as long as that’s the case, I think it’s okay.

Here’s a formal religious opinion on the question posed:

Re: Will you go to church

In Oxford, there's a prayer room for muslims in a church so i'll go there...lol

Re: Will you go to church

**only if he/she is accepts my invitation to visit a mosque on a FRI. Johaova's Witness ppl come to me all the time. i listen to them and then ask a few Q but they always defer it for a later date and by someone else to answer. i, then give them a couple of pamphlets about islam and tell them its only fair that they also read what i believe in...believe me, they never RETURN the next sunday...:)

my Q is to any TableeGhii Jamaa'at member on GS...why don't we go to the non believers just like Johava's Witness ppl pop up at our doors :)

btw, i KNOW their answer...i asked this Q for the benefit of our other GS friends**** :)

Re: Will you go to church

Uz I have and it gave me an insight into how people of other faiths pratice their faith....I believe each to their own......Ive even had a mass at a church ..... which was quite thought provoking... a church is a place of worship for people just as a mosque, synagogue and the like.... being tolerant is part of your psyche....... it was quite interesting.....

Re: Will you go to church

I would go. One should be more tolerant of other religions and more importantly other people. It is because of intolerancy and misconceptions the world is the way it is currently.

When I was studying for my A'levels I really wanted to study Religious Studies. The course was all about Christanity and Judaism. People kept saying no don't do it, how will this be of any use to you etc etc.I never even knew how to use a Bible to look up the verses but can now do easily. I loved the course and did really well. It may sound bad but I will be honest, even though I learnt about other religions, it was this which brought me closer to my own religion. In the exams I even compared and contrasted all three-Abrahmic religions.

Re: Will you go to church

no i wont,i am a mullah.

so put a explosive vest on and then go.

That's not even funny.

Re: Will you go to church

I attended a Catholic school, so been to a church many times. Also been to a Masjid/Dargah & Gurudwara...

I have prayed at all of these places, since in my mind wherever you pray its heard by the same GOD.

My mom used to make me go to church when I was a kid and I started to hate religion. So no thanks, I don't want to go to your church. Churches are SCARY.

i will opt it.

sorry i dont exactly remember the reference of the hadith in which prophet ordered sahaba not to read torah and bible.

so as a muslim we shud devote our time to learn quran and hadith.

but if someone has interest in comparative religion studies he may go there to attend service.
