Err what was the question again? Going to a church, yes I do that every now and then. I don't see anything wrong with that.

If someone doesn't wanna go, that's fine. Why do we have to look down at them and consider them radicals? There are so many people who don't feel comfortable going to a church or a mosque and that's Okay, please live and let live.

*sorry i dont exactly remember the reference of the hadith in which prophet ordered sahaba not to read torah and bible. * so as a muslim we shud devote our time to learn quran and hadith.
but if someone has interest in comparative religion studies he may go there to attend service.
erm i remember reading one hadith where one sahaba found a sample of Toraat and Prophet PBUH disliked the act of him reading it.
I wouldnt mind visiting a church if the intentions are to know their belief which would help me understand my religion better otherwise my own religion is complete enough to teach me "good".My religious concepts are enough messed up by our own scholars that i dont need to listen to their sermons to further mess them up.=]

Iv been in a church loads of times with my whole class just to learn about other religions iv been to a hindu temple aswell.

I think the strength of a religion lies in its followers being able to go to other places or worship, and still coming to the conclusion that their religion is the best one for them :)

i wud suggest u one thing if u want to learn more about deen. buy Sahih Bukhari and read it from A to Z. beside u need to buy some books relating to "Principle of Hadiths" so that u can know about different types of Hadith like what is sahih hadith, what is zaeef, hasan. what is the concept of tadlees and what is Muallal.
i wud recommend u to buy a book of Dr. Khalid Alvi about principle of Hadiths. the book is bit difficult to understand initially (may be u need some guidance of a scholar ) but as soon as u will go through this book u will get to know that how to differentiate between more reliable hadiths and less reliable hadiths.
to seek ilm Deen is our responsibilty and we cant blame others for it. if u do serious effort for learning deen insallah , Allah will show u right path.

every religion teaches the same thing..brotherhood,love,respect,no jealousy etc these are basic stuff...insaan yeh basic stuff to karnai sakta jo sab religions mein comon hai or pir bi lartey rehtey hai religion kye naam per..pehle improve ur basics,become a human instead of an animal pir ja kar kuch or karna.i hate it when loog religion kye naam per mauka dhundtey rehtey hai to kill each other..when killing in any religion isnt allowed!!!!!
and a peice of my mind for those muslims who believe in the diffrenciation of shaia/suniis/bohris and other sects. Stop acting like blondes open ur eyes n brains and SEE tht media (and other channels like politics) has created an enviroment where they are trying to divide all the muslims to rule on our minds.Stop being puppets and believe in brotherhood of all muslims. look at the condition other muslims are living in,its the worse state we have ever been.To get back our dignity and respect believe that we all are muslims we believe in Allah!!!
p.s: this frustation is coming from my very recent visit to pakistan n seeing ppl living in situation which are totally unacceptable..maybe im out of topic here but what i have written above should be read cuz i sincerely believe we as humans are forgetting our basics!
