Well, it’s a confusing situation, so I may be wrong as well…

Nusra front is AlQ’s face in Syria. They were in conflict with ISIS until last May, at which time there was a cease fire. Neither is ostensibly supported by Saudi, which propped up another larger group (the Islamic Front). The Islamic Front is in conflict with both ISIS and Nusra Front.

Oh ok. But I would say Saudis could conclude that Shias/Iran are a bigger threat and make nice with ISIS/L, seeing that they are the ones showing results ( at least for now ). Not sure how ISIS/L feels about saudis, but they need powerful friends with deep pockets if they are to survive shias+iran+russia.
