Hareem chill. You got a loving Husband, a good family. Kids that adore you. You got it better than a good 70% of the women in the world. On top of that you live in a comfortable country - not Somalia, Congo (where on average 1 out of 3 women has been raped) etc etc.
You are fine. And if you are upset about something. Fix it or accept it. Complaining only upsets those who love you.

Hareem01 is a clever cookie … not a double choc cookie - a clever one … but you are right I can encourage her more … she is doing really well already … she trusts me about the diet plan … It is in my best interest for her healthier lifestyle to pay off … or I’ll get it in the neck for wasting her time …

The thing is my parents - I know them very well … Circumstances have made them quite cynical about the broader family … they used to be very cool and with it people … but still manage to do all the important Islamic stuff as well. I still feel we can have “fun” and be “Islamic” at the same time … My wife has kept me active … But I TOTALLY agree with her when she said it … 
Something is wrong with my folks … they need to be cheered up … somehow !!!
Point is my wife knows they can be cheered up if our own affairs are sorted first … I have a tendency of doing a little bit for ourselves and then getting distracted with others again before our own affairs are fully sorted … She is right all the way throughout this thread … That is what I feel too …

Well my in laws r also boring they r always complaining to huby tht ur wife act as kid she should now grow up, I don't mind u live like you want, upif my huby has no issue wth me I m not gng to change myself, for every successful relationship I think it's important to accept without changing anything .

I think on reading back the first few posts this thread has totally been sent in the wrong direction … I was not complaining about my wife complaining … I was agreeing with her complaint about my folks … and I asked about ideas to mend their spirits …

yes i used in the beginning but when they started criticizing my attitude, me n huby decided to leave them like tht, of course v treat them wth love n are soft wth them talk, its like once a year meeting so v both try to live the way they like in tht period, and never force anything on them.
