This will again lead me to point out at other parties and their leaders who are involved in one or more crimes you mentioned above, but again the question is at its place why we don't hate those people in like manner?
muqawee121, do you know Hitler was also a nice and harmless chap in his youth? He had a very rough childhood, he just wanted to be an artist and worked hard to make a living. When he joined the army, he was a very dedicate and patriotic solider. As a political leader, he was simply an amazing orator and in many ways he was undisputed political genius of his. Now do you wanna use his early life as an excuse to justify all his crimes?
Thanks for addressing the issue in right tone. much appreciated.
I raised question not for making any excuse for any leader. My question was about selected hate and reasons behind it.
What I'm trying to say is why we don't talk about positive things about someone who is generally considered as criminal / bad guy. Do hate justify to disregard something positive said / done by a person? I appreciate Imran Khan for accepting that Altaf Hussain was right in saying 'Pakistan - Titanic of Muslim Ummah is at the verge of sinking'. This was said even after all the drama went on during and after elections.
You might have read "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone". Why not we try to apply this while hating a person?
Go on name me one leader who openly abuse the law of land and says take a legal action against me I'll wreck havoc in the country?
Go on, tell me when was the last time any leader by just making a small phone call bought a major part of Pakistan on a complete standstill at least four times in a month?
closing trade and making main Highways on standstill can even be done by nationalists. What was done by Jiyalas after 27th december 2007 is not a hidden from anyone. jiska jahan zor chalta hai, wo taqat ka muzahira karta hai.

I think in the same interview Imran also said that Altaf should stop making "ultee seedhi" statements like Karachi tor doon ga etc etc. He said political leaders don't talk about breaking up the country, they unify people. Remember?
Altaf Hussain's negative simply out weight his positives. Whatever they are.

No you need to name names. Popular and well followed names like Altaf Hussain.

I'm alright with the last sentence. No one is perfect. May be not controlling his words has made Altaf Hussain such a hateful person.

See MQM is not powerful in rural Sindh.. trade was affected and closed for almost 2-3 weeks after PPP-MQM alliance got Local Bodies ordinance, passed from Sindh Assembly. Who closed the towns and villages including main high-ways? Nationalists having support of PML(N) and PML(F).

Thats all good and fine to know but lets name names. Popular and well followed names who not openly threatened but actually carried out the closing of major cities.
seems to me that OP is bent on not accepting any reasons to hate Altaf Hussain. All reasons are being brushed aside. Some of them are valid and applicable.

Pir Paghara, Ayaz latif Palejo, Bugtis, even PPP doing strike during its government for some judges appointment issue. Everyone demonstrate power in form of strikes.

Are these as popular and well followed like Altaf Hussain?
Any name of major political leader, like bit mainstream political leader?
come to karachi, and ask those poor citizens who just survive on daily wages (mochi/ sabzi waala etc) and about how disturbed their lives get when there's yet another strike call... you'll see why people hate him. I know there are other political parties that do call strikes but they are much less in frequency and severity... i've literally seen this mega city close down in minutes.
What do you think our local tailor went though when he's made to pay Rs 5000 worth of bhatta at a time? my Uncle made to pay Rs10000 at a time? how do you expect any sane person who suffers at AH's hands to not hate him?
