Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

This is not a political discussion, so should not be moved to Pakistan Affairs.

I came across some of these pics.

These pictures definitely portray a soft side of Altaf Hussain as a loving and caring father.

While nothing has been proved against Altaf Hussain todate, people love to hate him for years.

My question is what is the reason behind such blind hate? Is it ‘khuda waste ka bair’?

Has there been no positive contribution either by MQM or Altaf Hussain to Pakistani society?

Why people do selective criticism? Why we don’t see such kind of hate against LeJ and TTP?

They have religion involved, and people are every touchy about religion.

As for AH, he is a merciless head of a Mafia organization whose crimes, like TTP, need no proof other than a little research.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

Want to reply on this part.
Hitler had a soft side too.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

I think is more because you will see Altaf Hussain on tv regularly for whatever reason and thus he is more exposed to people.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

First of all, im afraid, this discuss will eventually lead to a political view and hence will be moved shortly

Secondly… Making him a good father doesn’t make him a good politician or a human. Who would not love his own child (except of few psychos)..??
Bringing two pics of his father-daughter love doesn’t prove him a good human… instead pictures where he could be seen with poor people with genuine intentions…helping them… and bringing peace to the city/ country/ among people would make him a good human.

I ask you, what makes you think we should start loving him? only on the basis of his above provided picture? Is it all what you could bring to make us think why we love to hate AH??

P.S. No personal issues with you Muqawwe  I hope you understand, few topics are just so sensitive to talk about :naak:

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

What kind of research we are talking about? Its been 3 years that the SCOTLAND YARD is trying to fix a murder history. While likes of TTP and LeJ accept responsibility for killing innocent people like its a act of sawab e daaren, MQM always tried to portray its soft image and unless something proved against Altaf, I don't think the hate is justified.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

I just bring these two pics, but there are interviews of many people on record who said positive things about Altaf Hussain. Like this is an interview conducted by Bushra Ansari. The interview hilighted many positive / good things about Altaf Hussain. Did anyone appreciated Altaf Hussain as shown in this interview? When we see a speech from Altaf Hussain we all love to pass negative remarks without thinking what made him such a bad person (if he is actually a bad person is.)

PS: I know certain issues are sensitive and I don’t want anyone to love him ( actually I myself don’t love him), but I just want to explore reasons behind blind hate.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

Some people just set their image… and an image is set by what the person is capable of “mostly”… U say, his bad deeds are far bigger and more than his good deeds and that’s how a large public doesn’t like him anymore.

& Who would like a person, who says… Don’t provoke us so that we have to take the harsh decision of Separating Karachi… and who would say…bori tayyar hay..!! :chai:

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

exactly, we know positive traits of Hitler, but why don't we know and talk about positive traits of Altaf Hussain?

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

Good and bad exist in every human :)

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

There are million of jiyals still in love with Bhutto who said to Bengalis ‘idhar hum, udhar tum’ and similar things. He is loved by many political leaders. One can easily find stories about Bhutto’s atrocities if he does a little research, but again he is loved.

We will find such things about almost all the leaders of Pakistan.. They did mistakes and gave oot patang statements, but did we hate them equally like we hate Altaf Hussain? I think the answer is ‘no’.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

Was the Western world really moved by the seemingly positive traits of Hitler? Even if they thought he's just another crazy German nationalist trying to rebuild the country, very quickly they realised what an evil he was and the rest is all history.

Come on man, you have a better attempt at propaganda.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

Mentioning TTP, LeJ and MQM in your opening post makes it a political discussion whether you want it go that way or not. But thats besides the point.

Lets not make it a comparison thread between the three and who is more evil to the pakistani society. MQM is a political party in pakistan. Other two are not. Two wrongs dont make a right. Lets not play the sympathy card here. The only victims here are people of pakistan.

You do seem to have some soft corner for altaf bhai or mqm, so why dont you tell us how it has contributed positively to pakistani society (do remember that there is a pakistan outside of Karachi too).

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

oh come on! Its not a propaganda, I just put a question and logon se apni hate chupai nahin ja rahi.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

Google is our best friend. Or if not google youtube ''MQM (his own party) torture videos'' and then replay AH's open threats (just like the TTP) to innocent people and you may have your answer.

If that fails to establish him a scumbag that he really is then I don't know what will. Anyone who openly threatens innocents should be lucky that the only thing they're getting is hate.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

And I haven’t even started talking about this traitorous bakbak about breaking Pakistan yet! :hehe:

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

why not I should talk positive contribution of MQM in Karachi? Whether we agree or not people of Karachi have been selecting them and still not rejected them in totality.

They have a vote bank and followers in rural Sindh as well. They are present to help people in times of natural calamities like flood and earth-quake.

My point is when almost all the political parties are same, their leaders are involved in corruption (no one is doodh main dhula- hamaaam main saare nange hain) then why Altaf Hussain gets big share of hatred. It seems that we all are ready to forgive those who looted the country, killed their political rivals, separated the country, but we are not ready to say few good things about Altaf Hussain. We are not ready to consider what makes him such a bad guy.

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

Believe me, I know in my life a LOT of people who love AH to death.. who can't hear a single negative gossip about AH!!

Re: Why we love to hate Altaf Hussain?

Every leader and party got such karkun, but what I'm talking about is general public perception. Go to rural Sindh and Bhuttos are worshiped like saints. saints who converted all the Sindh into ruins of Moen jo Daro.

As a Historian, I think I can differentiate between a question and propaganda.
