hannibal- you may have a point there actualy. but its a long list of things that frustrate me about this country. we are so caught up in pakistan zindabad mentality that we cant see its faults and act on them, i feel as if im insulting someones mother when i talk about the lack of facilities and etc in pakistan. the lack of bijli, economy, bombings, environment, is all there. why is t easeir to adjust to western countries than it is to adjust back home in pak.
my MIL has a rare disease, and theres NO specialist in pak for her. while theres a whole organisation in the uk. just for her own health she should come with us and get treated there, cost isnt an issue, the fact that theres not one doc in pak,who knows it, is absurd. her doctor comes from india to diagnose her, plus hes in karachi which is 24 hour s away.
but yet they still hell bent on not going. so can someone tell me how to ppersudade them slowly to come with us.....forgetting my own reasons aside for the time, just thinking of her own treatment....she has SLE.

Yaar this really is not fair but if i remember correctly while doing wards in our 4th year in yet another pathetic hospital (RGH) in pindi our professor diagnosed a pt with SLE and we spent a whole day wth that pt n i must say the doc was doing a good job of treating her oh arent pindi and islamabad adjacent to each other?

the easiest way to make ur husband move to uk is dont come back when u go for ur delivery n ask hubby to come n get u when he goes there just hide his passport n force him to stay n ull live happily ever after..............

Really? Do you know anything about American foreign policy? Do you know what they have been planning for Pakistan for the last few decades? It's of utmost strategic importance. Nothing that has been happening in the country is unplanned. Go do some research about the increase the permanent American bases in all the -stan countries that have appeared in the last 10 years. Not to mention Obama's escalation of the operations in Pakistan as soon as he came into office. This has nothing to do with 'the war on terror'.

These Iraq/Afghanistan teases for Pakistan will always sound moronic no matter how they're said, invading/attacking a country with 110 nuclear warheads with sophisticated and efficient military might is not a child's play, and thats the bottom line!
We may be incompetent in policy making but we're certainly not incapable when it comes to defending ourselves. Its only a matter of time before the Americans finally wake the sleeping giant.

I know someone who is suffering from this disease for many years now and she has been getting treatment from Agha Khan Hospital. It can be a good idea to get her medical treatment from UK but it can be very expensive. I really hope she feels better soon and gets the appropriate medical attention.
Both should adjust their lifestyle to achieve the standard of their mutual role model, because that is the ultimate and unobjectionable standard. Anything that leads to it, good, anything that takes us away from it, bad.
Like they aren't handing everything over on a plate. Whose military is it.
We made plenty of mistakes in last ten years, no doubt about that. But some people really need to get out of their slave mentality and realize that Americans are no God! The region belongs to us, our army is trained to the core to guard every nook and corner of the area. Anyone who thinks Pakistan army can't play dirty with the Americans is living in a fools land. We've been involved in Afghanistan issue for far too long to not realise that dangers and advantages, friends and foes, way ins and outs of this conflict. Its a real world, just like the Americans are taking baby steps towards pushing the war in Pakistan, we too are taking our time in gathering ourselves for an ultimate answer back.

It took centuries for UK, USA and Europe to become where they are today. Maybe a new topic for your research.
If we can have smooth change of governments for next election, that itself will be considered a huge improvement. The media and judiciary are all set for playing their role in getting the best out of the next general elections, provided we don't get marital law or any shahdats before that.
Pakistan is massively loaded with potential, we just need a right leadership to guide the nation. And sometimes it only takes one good government or leader to set the nation on the right path for generations to come. InshAllah we will have our day.
