I speak punjabi with my children and never feel embarrased about it. Why should we? Punjabi is a beautiful language as you have said yourself.

Yes there are some people who speak it in a lathmaar style but that doesn't make it look rude.

yes, Its true...See I belongs to a Panjabi family...From Lahore aur meray parents Mujhe se kabi panjabi mein baat nahi kertay...aur meri kud panjabi inti achi nahi hai. Like I can understand what other says in Panjabi per jab kud bolti hon tou like strange..

I think same is the problem with other people as well. In India and Pakistan, some people like to speak english with their kids instead of their own language.

I had one Punjabi friend in Delhi. I once asked him "Ghar main kaun si bhasha bolte ho?"

"You know we always speak in English...Punjabi is a language of...".

Main uske ghar phir kabhi nahin gaya.

i can speak punjabi can eat punjabi can sleep punjabi coz i am a punjaban :ejaz:
but yeh i speak in urdu with my neices and nephews but they can still speak in punjabi and can understand pujabi very well :slight_smile: coz yeh it is a sweet language:)
