PPPP is done and dusted. The 2008 election was an anomaly because of the extraordinary and tragic events leading up to it; there will never be another Benazir to be able to move voters.
Judging by this election's outcome, PTI's prospects appear bleak too in Punjab. Imran Khan, a life-long resident of Lahore, nearly died campaigning in the city but couldn't win his seat in Lahore! Not even a sympathy vote, never mind his charisma, philanthropic contributions through Shaukat Khanum Hospital, and his role as the captain that won the country cricket World Cup trophy. Ibrar-ul-Haq coudn't win a seat despite his own philanthropic contributions, celebrity status as a former beloved musician, and clean corruption-free record. PML-N's heir apparent Hamza Shabaz Sharif won his seat in Lahore but Allama Iqbal's grandson failed to win one....
The factors that motivated people to vote for PML-N-- whether it was the baradri factor, satisfaction with the status quo, apprehensions about trying someone new, reservations about voting for someone from a party other than PML-N, or whatever else it was-- will most likely still be there come 2018 or 2023. The Sharifs and PML-N are not so dumb that they will antagonize their vote bank. They will keep throwing a few big-ticket projects like some more shiny new roads and flyovers, metro buses in other cities of Punjab, more 'gifts' for the youth in the form of laptops etc. etc. even if basic services like hospitals crumble or the rest of the country rots or goes hungry with not even enough atta to eat.
PML-N is in for the long-haul. It has the template of winning by an almost landslide in one province to be able to comfortably form government in the centre. It will most likely keep using that template, rinse, rig if needed, repeat and viola...
results will be different in 2018 election, if PML-N allowed to form Hazara and South Punjab provinces.
. Noora family was support by USA and KSA and the reason for this will come out pretty soon.
The reason for this is very simple, to keep Iran away from the gas line deal, China from the port and the mighty drones ofcoz.
It serves some ppl well to keep all of South Asia bickering amongst themselves as long as they can...and the sad part is, we have soooooooooo many corrupt individuals in our countries, and traitors that this goal can be achieved very easily.
If IK had stick to his original team, perhaps things wouldn't have gotten so bad.
Whole thing was engneered with the help of najam sethi, who was friend of IK new media person.
That media dude won election from lahore as a perhaps a fav from najam.
If IK still had omer cheema, this would not have happened.
Now who is standing up?? arif alvi...sheeren mazari.... fauzia qasoori...
All IKs old people...
The real issue in punjab was load shedding, the last five years were a night mare for the people. The people were so scared that they voted for pmln thinking that votes for PTI could benefit PPP.
^ millions of people have been rendered jobless due to loadshedding, many have resorted to petty crimes. They want to have the issue sorted out so that they can get their jobs back. PPP did nothing in this space, people have provided PMLN with perhaps the last chance. If they are not able to sort out this issue as well as inflation their end would be similar to PPP. PPP has been damaged beyond repair, it's good that we have got a viable opposition in the shape of PTI. Opposition is important to keep the government in check. Lets hope for the best for Pakistan.

Health system is important, but most important for people is to provide food to their children. You cannot imagine the desperation of people. I am again saying this can drown PMLN too if they fail to deliver.
Most of us are lucky to have air conditioners and ups's therefore we don't have an issue with load shedding as such. I dread to think what happens to the common people who don't have these luxuries, and being without electricity for most of the night with mosquitoes around. PMLN was lucky to have a pathetic government ruling in the Center.
PTI has a chance to vent its frustration out through good governance in KPK and go to the next elections with a success story speaking for itself. I have no doubt in my mind that IK would have already started planning about his course of action in KPK. It's a golden opportunity which may work just as good as it did for Noon League in Punjab VS PPP in the center.
