Simple. I see it as someone imposing their will on the happiness of others. That is what you are doing.
If someone is happy with multiple partners that is their choice and you have no right to say it’s wrong or illogical.
The same applies to homosexuals. In the case those who disagree with gay marriage are doing the same.

It may not be easy but as Kakaballi said, its not impossible to work out, a lot of legal complexities have been worked out. That’s hardly a reason to oppose it.

i dont think having multiple partners is wrong. i fully support anyones right to have as many partners as they want whether they are male or female.

Lady they are your words. You state you have no problem with multiple partners yet consistently question it. Talk about delusional.
Actually I think everyone has a right to marriage and equal treatment. So yes I do agree with gay marriage. You can’t deny anybody legal rights because you personally disagree with it.
But then again you don’t think that applies to polygamy.

Legal complexity is not a basis for something to be outlawed.
Have you ever thought about how complex financial transactions are regulated? There are thousands and thousands of regulations for each aspect of any commercial industry. Ever wonder how companies with hundreds of subsidiaries or associated companies or joint ventures have legal status and their rights and obligations defined?
Ever wonder how much legal regulation a new medicine goes through? Ever seen a patent for a screwdriver?
“It might become complex” is not a sound reasoning for something to be banned. If difficulty of regulation is the cause, then multivitamin tablets should be the first things to be outlawed.

so why do you think its illegal? only because of christian view point? fornication and adultery are not illegal and they go against Christianity as well.
Also, you make it sound very simple. please explain how one can have multiple wives who also have multiple husbands and they can all file for taxes together and get same benefits.

I never claimed it is simple. But I have never heard of anything being banned because it is complex.
Taxation and social security issues can be resolved. Corporation tax is not simple. Hence millions of dollars spent on taxation lawyers/accountants every year by major companies. Should we ban corporations?

because it is illogical. US hardly follows any christian laws. fornication and children out of wedlock which is very much against Christianity is allowed. blasphemy, heresy, witchcraft, satan worship is allowed.
you cannot compare corporate laws to this. they are in no way as complex as giving legal marriage benefits to infinite number of spouse for both genders. is there any country in the world which allows legal limitless number of spouse for both genders?

See my problem here? I can worship satan but not have more than one wife? Make 100 illegitimate babies but not 1 legal baby from my second wife?
You are obviously not familiar with corporate laws then.
What if I do not wish to claim any benefit from the government? Just want my mistress to be recognized as my second wife and my children from her recognized as my legal children. That should make things little less complex?
You continue to cite legal complexity as the hurdle. I am not going to respond to that anymore since that is never a valid reason to make anything a crime.

who says you cannot have a child outside of marriage or from your mistress? i didnt know babies outside of marriage were illegal.
and why shouldnt those multiple wives also have multiple husbands?
im sure plenty of people have children from other women while being married and many women get pregnant from other men while being married to someone else. are those children not legal? i thought biological parent pay child support and are responsible regardless of the marriage status.
legal complexities are the biggest hurdle. none of the polygamy/polyandry supporters here have proposed a legal solution yet claim its very simple

Here is a simple example. Taxes in the US.
You take the tax form. You check mark the part that says married. You state you are filing as a family.
The next line indicates how many spouses are part of the tax document. You follow the standard rules.
Done you just filed taxes for a polygamous family.
