Why when explaining Hijab, 'Alims' go to the other extreme of 'bikini' 'g-strings' and rape? Which leads one to believe that the minute a woman uncovers her head she will be raped or will probably go advertise wearing under wear. Can't it be explained any better? For example, citing universal modesty, obedience to the injunctions of Quran, concept of segregation of sexes, historical evidence of hair and woman's beauty, etc.

^Ahmed Deedat was not an alim, he was a da'ee.
And da'ees usually try to answer questions logically........but he has also used references from Quran.

The order was for a woman to cover up...And Christian women did cover up at one time...
So, it happened that when Christian women covered up, the covering got little and little until a time came Christian women don't cover up anymore...As a result they now are practically naked on beaches and in hot weather and their clothes are getting even more skimpier as a result they have promiscuous sex and are no better than harlots...
So basically, it eventually becomes a case of extremes...Either you keep the faith or eventually end up creating harlots...

I disagree with both of you but that wasn't the point. Which being, there are virtues of hijab which surpass to avoid being raped or being a half naked model that need to be stressed.
