Kara Film Festival was cancelled in 2010, I hope its back up again in 2011 and it probably takes like 4-5 crore to make a movie right?

Depends on your script, your cast/crew and the medium you’re shooting in (35mm vs. HD). The figure you’ve quoted seems to be alright for an average production – but so many different factors influence it. Work on minimizing it for your initial production.
