WHY girls work?

Re: WHY girls work?

Re: WHY girls work?

exactly…

im gonna get my law degree from a prestigious law school…i plan on staying home with my kids…i sure as hell am not dumb. I cant imagine working full time and leaving my baby with a babysitter…unless i absolutely had 2.

Re: WHY girls work?

You look at statistics, I have personal experience with girls. Stats and data will tell you that more girls live at home, that they marry early but maybe not their personal feeligns about it. I know the abuse deff exists but putting that issue aside, has it ever occurred to you maybe these girls don't have a problem with it? Is it such a horrific abuse to NOT dorm? I know many girls who are married/engaged and they are perfectly happy and would not have it any other way. They're studying what they love, and they have goals, med school, physician's assistant, nursing, etc. As hard as it is to understand some girls are happy being married early and are not under someone else's control.

Re: WHY girls work?

i have the right to apply to law school regardless of what i plan on doing with my degree. I dont see anything wrong with wanting to educate myself in the field of my choice.

Re: WHY girls work?

Which law scchool?

Girls, some of your are lucky...can't say the same for roman. He hasn't gotten lucky since that time he was caught in Wo Hop in chinatown, trying to help the waiter peel his soft shell shrimp.

Re: WHY girls work?

2nd yr law at georgetown uni

Re: WHY girls work?

^ that is great and sad at the same time. I hope you will realize that the pedigree that is offered to you won't be wasted mixing rights amounts of Mr. clean concentrate with warm water to keep the flooers squeaky cclean in your house

Re: WHY girls work?

No you have the right to educate yourself. Professional schools are not meant for people who just want to get "educated". Those are degrees where they teach you SKILLS that are meant to be USED in a PRACTICE.

If you wanted to merely be educated, I would have recommended a PhD in history or government or something of that sort. Those degrees are the sort meant to be open to be used or not used in whatever way one wishes to.

Taking up a position in a law school and that too a prestigious one...

Man, have you told your professors about your dream of being a wonderful housewife?

No, I'm sure you lied to them and made something up about how you'd like to apply your degree to commerce law or some detailed fake story.

Its pretty sick, IMHO. I know guys with very good LSAT scores that couldn't even get into a decent law school... shakes head

I seriously side with guys on this issue. If you dont intend on working, don't take up that valuable seat. Get an education in some other degree, but don't get involved in professional schools.

And no, you don't have the "right" to get yourself into a professional school when you're not even serious about it from the get-go. It means you lied to admissions and you're still lying to your law-school, that you have an intention to use the degree.

Professional schools are not jokes. But unfortuantely our desis use them to up their "elite status" in society.

Re: WHY girls work?

well written PCG,

but do remember she has made a choice, and we should as fellow guppies support her in this

Re: WHY girls work?

I just hope she uses the degree in some sort of capacity or the other. That much, yes, I would give her moral support on.

Re: WHY girls work?

very impressive angel eyes. all this time i been reading garbage from feminazies. you are like a breath of fresh air here. certainly, there are higher priorities that you mentioned. im glad you have your priorities straight.

there is tons of doctors/lawyers not practicing their professions. practicing law or medicine for the rest of ur life is certainly not a pre-req to admission. the desies giving you a hard time about “taking up a seat” are most likely karachiite fobs. its their favorite subject.

pcg, kids with low LSAT scores deserve to get into good law schools like georgetown. yeah that makes as much sense as the other feminazi garbage.

Re: WHY girls work?

I live in UK, not America. I dont pay for my education…in fact they pay us to study and even to go into higher education. I will work 1 or 2 years after my degree…and insha-allah can easily earn in 2 years what an average person will earn in 10 years.

Re: WHY girls work?

Re: WHY girls work?
