i don’t think its true that a lot of emphasis is put on the wedding functions rather than the guy. a lot of emphasis is put on the guy during the rishta process and before you accept the proposal. however, once the proposal is accepted after all the screening done, other things like wedding preps etc comes to your mind and as the wedding time is nearing you automatically get more caught up with these things. doesn’t mean though that the thought of the guy you are marrying to goes out the window.
