Prophet Muhammad said *:"Do you know what backbiting is?" They said, "God and His Messenger know best." He then said, "It is to say something about your brother that he would dislike." Someone asked him, "But what if what I say is true?" The Messenger of God said, "If what you say about him is true, you are backbiting him, but if it is not true then you have slandered him." *(Muslim)
I don't see how the original topic has anything to do with backbiting. She's not criticizing anyone in particular but just mentions a trend observed among Muslims.
I don't see why any of this should be taken (this) badly. There are a lot of other things you'll see being "shoved down the throats" of others among Muslims themselves and even non-Muslims.
Some examples of what you can find on this forum itself are:
How much education one should have.
How one should dress (though it's no more anybody's business, see how people who choose to wear jubba, niqab or even hijab are criticized)

well I said what I had to say, i don't need to get the last word. In my opinion, one doesnt need to feel better by downgrading others or telling them that things are fardh and compulsory. Obviously, people know.
As for not criticizing anyone, did the sister not say: These people are just Muslim by Name only? Astagfirullah..that is for me, a big insult. And I would appreciate if she apologized by making this assumption.
my bad, knowing this is the reply id get because its the obvious reply, however i was hoping there would be different ones too, ones that actually answered the ORIGINAL posts question.

Khalas on my part and have a good day.
I don't think she's putting down anyone. From what I understand, she's starting a discussion on a valid topic. It doesn't seem to me at least that she's saying any of it to feel better about herself.
As far as calling people Muslim by name, I don't think it's a personal criticism and nobody should be offended by that.

I am not telling anyone whats compulsory and whats not, and go do it.
I WAS asking how come WE ( collective) dont do whats compulsory...

Exactly, like anyone apart from Allah swt has the right to judge anyone. I'm out of this sorry excuse for a 'discussion' as well.
if i tell you/ask you to read namaz, surely youll get sawab for it, not me. whats my benefit. namaz parhni hai , you read it for urself, not for me or anyone else. so someone telling you, is a good thing. maybe, itl make me read as well. win-win situation.
i have a speeding ticket, i got fined and 3 points on my license, i then tell you not to speed......surely im a hypcocrite.
i drink alcohol knowing its bad for me, knowing the efftcs, yet i tell you not to drink it....hypocrit?
i do bad things, i try to refrain you from doing so too...hypocrite?
I think people need to mind their own business when it comes to religion and worry less about how many namazein other people are reading and what they’re wearing on their head.
Such non-issues really. It’s that person’s personal choice how much they pray and how much religious garb they wear on a regular basis. Why don’t we worry about our characters more? Maybe Pakistan would be a better place to live.
