I know a couple who got divorced after his wife caught him porn-ing via his computer in the early morning hours. She later found out that he was so deeply involved in it that he hooked up with some women in the biznis and even went on "business" trips to meet them.
My issue is that a very small habit that may seem harmless can end up having horrible consequences. Better to avoid.

I'm saying taking porn away from men (or women) isn't going to stop them from fantasizing, that's all.
I totally agree with this, it still doesn't justify porn. I understand the whole "it's just a release and it gets them going as Kurripunjaban just posted but seeing a flesh-and-blood women do that for him pisses me off. If he really needs to watch it, then it'd make it a bit easier if he was watching Hentai (anime-type porn), lol.
My only issue is other naked women with their pubic area out and my guy looking at it. I dont care if he sees it in some painting at an art gallery but in porn? Heck no. And i know a lot of people reading this think I'm being unreasonable and naive to think my man wouldn't look at such things behind my back but it's not like that w/ us. I cant explain the dynamic but he'd rather look at another naked man than to see another naked woman. It's a sense of sharam and respect he has that makes me have so much respect for him.
And maybe if my guy wasn't like him, maybe I'd eventually learn to accept porn and let it slide as a "guy thing" but once you another person backing off your reasons, it makes everything so much easier. Phew.
Ok say my husband is away on a business trip and he is really needy and I am like a bazillion miles away I would rather him watch some porn than be tempted by the hotel receptionist.

Then again, maybe he wants to do it with someone else but is refraining from doing so. Porn can be a way of getting rid of the 'desire' to do it by being less...errr horny I guess.

I know, I know. In the long term however it can't be good. It could very easily become a habit, and then the thought of being able to watch porn would turn him on, so instead of longing for his wife he's longing for porn. I hope that makes sense.

And also BarbieCue, not every man is going to fantasize about other women. It's not naivety on a woman's part to think that, esp. if she and her husband have a very sexually-open relationship and both aren't afraid to word their fantasies and needs. A man may find another woman attractive but no way in heck does the guy then take it further and fantasize having sex with them. I dont understand why some women are so accepting of this. *It is NOT the case with every guy. Nor woman. *
How can you tell and guarantee that he won't? (Not speaking about your husband, sure you know him well, I'm speaking about men in general).
