And I have already answered your other concern. The term according to your very own definition does not qualify as an offence to the sanctuary of the country nor does it qualify as some sort of treachery. or if you're too concerned about people debating over a piece of land then tell your "fundos" to make a law against this too.

I have said this before and I will say it again. Ask any Pakistani on the street he will have an answer to who he is and what it means to him to be Pakistani. And I bet you right now he will do so with sarcastic humor that is more of a back handed compliment than a serious introspective comment. Why? Because that is our national character. Throw what you want us. We survive with a wicked sense of humor.
If people have questions about their self of identity vis a vis our national identity, that is an individual issue not a collective one.
And if a Pakistani chooses not to speak the same language as you or your friend he's considered an outcast or even an outlaw?

Its one of the "gift" our older generation gave to us. I mean they had seen some other country called india.,... they had see some other country called bangladesh....

Additionally, some, obvious from their posts don't care of all the sacrifices our ancestors had to make for OUR better future. Its easy to judge when you've been given something on a plate, even if its a whole country we could call our own.
Would you be surprised if some of the extreme criticizers of the country found it extremely difficult to sing the national anthem of Pakistan?!

I bet you any thing Quaid-e-Azam found it extremely difficult to relate to the right wing Indians. New ideas come from people who look at the bigger picture instead of focusing on little details.

give me a break…you make it sound like you are giving charity to the country with all your dollars. All you are doing is sending money where your family is…nobody sends money to another country just for the ‘love’ of it…

would east & west germany have merged back if somebody there had not questioned their existence? but the OPs point is not invalid in that there are more countries in last century that split off than merged back. But Pakistan is not unique in such soul searching.
But the soul searching and questioning is more a result of failed policies of the past which have made domestic and foreign affairs to be completely co-mingled in Pakistan, and made it so very complex, that it is one entangled mess of messes! In this respect I cannot think of a parallel (to this scale of self-induced complexity)
