Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Relax I laughed in Urdu.

I’m sorry I need to laugh at your intelligence and wits again :hehe: :hehe:

Huh? What did I say lol..

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Well Diwana technically Urdu is not our own language. It is an Indian language that was not spoken in the areas that constitute Pakistan until 1947. Even then it was a language of the Mohajir. So lets be careful about what we define is our language.

Hell by the assumptions made we should also peak Dari.

Its important Diwana in our patriotism we don't end up acting like Brown Sahibs like you are now.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Basically you have no counter argument.

Oh;

In case you did not understand, my signature is for YOU to impress me.

I am sorry it is written in English.

Urdu has been the language of people who lived in subcontinent much longer than English.

There has never been a problem for West Pakistanis to have Urdu as their representative language and SOME West Pakistanis had problem with Urdu declared as the National Language.

By all means speak and promote any LOCAL language.

But to consider English somehow Pakistani language is like living in fool’s paradise.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

because they don’t see light at the end of the tunnel :smokin:

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Very deep.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

tunnel ?

no its round and round.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Half the 180+ million population of Pakistan is unpar jahil and this guy has a problem with people speaking English...

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Firstly don't act like Nehru or the other people who didn't want to create Pakistan. At the end of the day the Government of Pakistan has declared English as the official language of Pakistan. Please don't divide and conquer like the British did to us. You are doing exactly what a Muslim should not do in the ummah. Spreading dissent and discontent.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

But..but...he winks so it's okay.

Why do I feel so dirty afterwards though?

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

No idea how you came up with something like this completely bizarre idea. :hmmm:

Essentially Muslims should not tell other brethren of ummah to stop speaking English unnecessarily…otherwise they will disintegrate in to pieces.

…is your fatwa.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

For anyone who has any confusion still despite my earlier post, Official language is a very different idea than National language....

...and I cannot but be amazed that there are people who think official language means all people of Pakistan have to learn and speak English in their daily lives.

Those schools and colleges or teachers who** punish **students for not speaking English should be taken off any Govt. assistance program in my humble opinion.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Official language- "language used within its government – its courts, parliament, administration, etc. – to run its operations and conduct its business" And you're telling me it's not important for Pakistani citizens to learn English?

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

No where your definition said people have to speak or write English in day to day lives.

Before your post I already covered that by making that part bold.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s speech on 14 August 1947.mpg - YouTube

Guess what language Quaid-e-Azam gave his speech in?

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

So?

He also declared Urdu as National Language.

Back then Pakistan was just separated from British raj.

At least he was not wearing three peice suit then like copy cat Pakistani politicians still do… even after decades.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Actually Jinnah wore three piece suits quite a bit and that's probably what Pakistani politicians try to emulate.

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

Jinnah knew how to dress...these clowns dont

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

diwana -

You think marital rape is an oxymoron
You think Pakistanis should not learn Angreji
You think the womans is nothing without the mans

You remind me of the Flintstones!

Re: Why do Pakistani people speak English mixed with Urdu so much?

All his life but not on that event. Maybe there is a hint there.
