Listen ranting and raving - people gossip. Be they women, men - desi, goree, kalaah, and every other colour of the rainbow.
Why do they do it? 1) nothing better to do with their time 2) it gives them a emotional buzz and a ONE UP on the other person 3) It helps them socialise and "bond" with others 4) Its current topic and hot news - and this is what life is all about in a close net community - sadly enough (unless you isolate yourself on a mountain top somewhere) 5) Poor understanding and lack of Horizons 6) Jayaal (lack of education) 7) No empathy 8) Too much traditional - boxed in values
Above are the reasons why people gossip/back bite. Regardless of gender, creed or class.
As for if you have some sort of problem with Desi women. Or women in general. I suggest you take that up with your local psychiatrist.

Sometimes these women are educated and still they do it. They have the brains and still they do it. They know it is wrong and still they do it. Sometimes they enjoy it. All I am trying to understand is what compels them to entertain gheebat since it is also haram in Islam. Spreading rumours which are malicious in nature and those that can cause damage to someone's reputation is haram. No one thinks that is bad, all they can suggest is go see a shrink coz you have issues dude.

Thanks Sister will do. Oh and another thing, some women on these forums are very sensitive and meow. They pounce, rawwwwr. At the end of the day, Infertile is virtual and so are the rest of you. Such hatred towards someone who you are probably never going to meet, and someone who does not ever want to meet you is another classic example of farigh women and having too much time on their hands. Save your bitterness for someone in the real world, which you face in your every day life ;)

Sara is a good person at heart probably. She might seem bitter and stuff but I am convinced she is not a bad person. Circumstances have led to her bitterness towards me but I hold no grudges. I live my life, she lives hers.
Bringing an issue to light. It is more dangerous to our society than anything else. Farigh desi aurtain backbiting and spreading rumours about others is more dangerous than food poisoning, biochemical warfare.
Backbiting and spreading false rumours about others breaks friendships, causes doubts in peoples minds, breaks peoples hearts and brings rifts between people. It is a very bad thing to spend all that precious time that you have ONLINE talking bad about people or in real world gupshupping and spreading random gossip.
It ruins peoples reputation, that is how serious this matter is and there should be a stop to it. I just opened a thread to inform people about this so called disease plaguing our desi society dear Niksik aunty.
What do you do about those so called educated, rich women, that spread stories about themselves and deceive others :(

Actually, I am with agreement to the fact that men do have to listen but so do the women. If you are talking about listening in the relationship context then that is a two way street too. Women also have to listen and understand.

Oh love if only i can tell you the real faces of the some of the women on here. They are so two faced. From the outside they seem nice but only when something happens do their true colours show. Anyway this was and has nothing to do with the forums. I am just talking about desi women wasting their time in general. Especially those that are married. Backbiting and gossiping comes under the wasting time.

I dont give a damn about the "talking" bit. I give a damn about when someone talks false about someone else, they backbite, spread rumours and hurt the person's reputation and self esteem and humiliate the person so much that they are not able to return to being normal. These stupid aunties and gals who are so farigh and do backbiting just love to ruin a person's life.
Again, what do you do when the person themselves spreads stories about themselves and includes other, innocent people in their stories. And it doesn't happen once, it happens many times over. They have no shame and they decide to include their family members in their drama too, just to gain sympathy.
