Wrong. The only difference between the social classes (regardless of which country they belong to) is the degree of subtleness with which they abuse.

I sort of agree with this situation. 70% of American women go through some sort of abuse (verbal emotional physical) and 33% experience physical abuse in a marriage. My point isn't to trivialize or externalize abuse, but to address it within our own community. Bella keeps going on about marrying outside your communities, that doesn't do anything to propogate a community, its values, its cohesiveness, to address issues WITHIN a community. It's a cop out, whether a boy or girl marries out their community.

2 of my brothers are in NYPD. they are totally brown with muslim names. yes marjority of police, fire, govt employees are whites yet the president is black! the reason why whites hold many position is simply because more of them apply for those jobs. desis barely go for such posiotion as most of them are more interested in engineering, law, computers etc.. my brothers were totally discouraged by our family to join NYPD because its just not something ‘we’ do, and that they should have been engineers instead.

On a social scale, with white people as a majority, there is more racism here than in other multicultural societies. I’m not saying EVERY white person is that way, but they are socially conditioned, and accept white privelege passively. What do you think about African Americans complaining about reparations for? The entire argument is that white people and their kids benefited from roads built, economies, industries, breweries built by blacks, and they should be reparated for it.

there is plenty of affirmative action in this country. there are plenty of financial aids, scholarships, and tons of free programs for lower income people and that includes blacks. almost all universities haVe to select black students even if there are white people with higher scores just so they can be diverse and politically correct. if some black people continue to not get educated, not go to school, and then complain about getting a good job, then thats just ridiculous. same goes for anyone, regardless of their color. plenty of whites also dont get any jobs because they are on drugs, and dont have any eduation.

Asian Americans are more economically and educationally well off than whites (50% of the doctors in this country), yet how many Asian American do you see in Congress, the HoR, the White House?

because asian american dont run for congress as much as whites do! why would a rich asian doctor want to go through the headache of running for a congressman?? do you have any idea how hard it is to campaign and how much money you have to shell out just for the campaign alone? no one is stopping anyone to run for any govt position, its upto you to get it.
how do you explain a black man being a president for the second time in a country full of white racists??? and what about condoleeza rice, collin powell? how did they make it to that level?

Please educate yourself a little on race relations in this country…end of story we are tangenting off of our own communities now. #whiteproverbs wasn’t trending #1 last month for no reason if you think racism doesn’t exists in white communities. Maybe like many Pakistanis who are lied to and taught they aren’t Indian you have your own demons/racial insecurities to deal with first (which is fine, I dealt with mine as well).

I feel like you have been brainwashed by the left liberal media too much. i have absolutely no insecurity about being pakistani and I am proud to say i have indian roots as my grandparents migrated to Pakistan from India. it’s quite obvious you stil have serious insecurities that you have not dealt with properly yet.

We are arguing at different levels. My response has been to cite and give you sources for statistics of the overwhelming majority of white privilege in this country, yours has been to not admit any potential shortcomings and cite anecdotes of exceptions; one of which was ironically the NYPD which to this day has a 'stop and frisk' policy that overwhelmingly targets black men. I'm done. You seem like a deeply insecure person who is trying to justify submitting to a power structure where white men are on a pedestal yet intent on giving heart to any negative stereotypes of Muslim/Muslim men from popular media.

I am saying this being very careful of the words I use, because I don't intend to hurt anyone.

There are a few people on this forum who have been through some kind of trauma (in the past) and their wounds still seem to be fresh. Which is very understandable and they are not to be blamed for that and for being very emotional and sensitive on certain issues. I feel very sorry for whatever happened to you and for all the pains that you have been through.

However, please keep in mind that what happened to you is not religion/culture/ethnicity/status bound. Your situation is not applicable to everyone so refrain from generalizing.
Someone else's personal situation is not the same as yours so try to see that seperable from your own situation, keep that in mind while handing out advice. Don't let your negative experience control your every thought and move.

If you haven't already, then for your own sanity go visit a psychiatrist to bring more balance in how you perceive the world and to learn to live with your past (no matter how painful it was).
Because nobody is benefited from it, not you and not another.

and since when is marriage about submitting to the man?? i would NEVER, I dont care what his race is, no human should have to submit to another human, married or not.
